The fanbase turned on him this year at Washington. A 7-5 season was below their standards. Clearly the fans are right there and Washington will find a much better coach to replace Peterson with.

He made over 20 million there and in his 50s. But this year the fanbase was really hard on him given the pre-season expectations and the ultimate 7-5 finish and there were quite a few negative articles and folks questioning his coaching and personnel decisions. Sound familiar?

Actually doesn’t sound familiar at all. He’s won the conference and played in a playoff. Wake me up when Bohl wins the conference if that’s what you’re implying.

This would make sense for Peterson to be the new OC. Kellen Moore is the current OC. He's only been out of college since completing his senior season at Boise St. in 2011, and didn't leave the NFL bench as a player for the Cowboys until 2017. He was the QB coach for Dallas in 2018 and promoted to OC in 2019. Not sure he's got the whiskers necessary to run an NFL offense. So, Peterson would be a major step up for Dallas. Also, it looks like Garrett is on a short leash and maybe Peterson could be a candidate for head coach? Strange times indeed.

From what I've heard he is through coaching and taking an admin role. But.....you never know.

Doubt it has anything to do with any negative fans and more than likely he is burnt out and needs a break. Having plenty of money doesn't hurt either.

Well he made the playoffs and won the pac a few times, so, no, doesn't sound familiar

He also has a child with serious medical issues, one of the reasons he was willing to move to Seattle. Maybe that’s related? But continue making ridiculous comparisons to Bohl, even though Bohl doesn’t have a quarter of the FBS resume he does.

Not sure why this needs to be spelled out but apparently some folks need that. The comparison isn't FBS resumes. Of course Peterson has far and away the better resume. Peterson is without a doubt a top 5 college football coach in the country. The comparison is what might drive a coach to hang it up.
