I didn't see a game thread, do I'll start one. Sure glad vigen got more creative this year with the first drive being run up the middle, run up the middle, incomplete pass, punt. Sure hope the 2nd drive we mix it up a little or this game will be out of hand real quick

Our defense didn't look so hot either. A couple of missed tackles and a TD against. I think the downgrade on the line will show, unfortunately.

Already is. Last year we had good size along the line. This year, we basically have 4 DE sized guys up front.

Playing conservative today will just lead to the usual 35 point beat down Bohl has against p5 teams every year. Got to take some chances

I think the plan is to wait until 42-0, at which point Mizzou won't expect the jet sweep up the right side for six yards and a 3rd and 8.

The run up the middle worked on one play, so let's try the exact same one again twice for a total of -1.

Every single run play has been up the middle so far for the entire quarter. Not making it very hard on the Missouri d coordinator. That other thread about our complicated playbook... It might be complicated for all our oline blocking schemes but very easy for d lines and linebackers. Just stand in the middle and tackle the guy that comes right at you. Every time he will be right there no need to run left or right just stand in the middle

Well, I predicted the first two drives to the t. They better score fast, or I pegged the entire first quarter. This team is so predictable.

I almost think d coordinator's tell their defense to give up a 9 yard run to wyoming once every 2-3 drives, cause that's all it takes for Vigen to bullheadedly keep running the ball up the middle. Maybe he'll throw a jet sweep in here soon, gotta show some razzle dazzle. No one will ever see that one coming.
