Wyoming vs UNC dual
Wyoming should dominate this team. Only ranked match up would be between Verner and Montoya. I saw on twitter that the team stopped by Dowler and saw that Verner was not in the picture. I hope he isn't hurt or his grades aren't slipping. Unless UNC called Branch and said they weren't going to wrestle Montoya. It would be a really long break for Cole between duals and the Big 12 tourney. However, Cole has wrestled over 30 matches this year so he could probably use the break.

No Verner. Really hope he is back before the Big 12s.

Turner is in the category as well. I’d say about as good of a regular season as Bridges. Tate Samuelson isn’t far behind either.
Most solid lineup Wyoming has put out there top to bottom perhaps ever. Need Verner at the Big 12s.
I wonder if Wyoming will try and cut or let Lombardo or Randles cut from 174 to 157 for the Big 12's. Not sure if there is rules on it, or number of matches, but might as well let those guys make a run at it. Lombardo is 6'2 so he would be a lanky 157. Big 12's are March 9-10.

You have to be certified at the weight by a doctor before the season. No way are those guys certified there IMO but it doesn’t look like UW posts that information like a lot of schools.Vapoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 4:27 pm I wonder if Wyoming will try and cut or let Lombardo or Randles cut from 174 to 157 for the Big 12's. 174, 157 and 149 is going to be a free for all next year. I believe Hayden moves to 165. Moody and Randles fight for 174. Maybe a Jeffries or Greenwood brothers moves up to compete at 157.
Ashworth came in as a 149 and was not stellar, but one off season and he became a sensation at 165.

There are some skin issues (like ringworm) that can just be covered up. But there are others (I think herpes is one) that the wrestler cannot compete with, even if it's covered. Don't know what exactly he had, but it was probably something along those lines.

My guess would be staph infection. You cannot compete with a staph infection and they often take weeks to eliminate. That is the only negative to wrestling as it is a breeding ground for those types of skin conditions.WestWYOPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:41 pmThere are some skin issues (like ringworm) that can just be covered up.
