Boise State 16.5 point favorite

Wow. Big number. Can anyone remember the last time we won outright on a line that big? I remember we were about 11 or 12 point dogs to UCLA in the 2004 Vegas bowl. In Brett Smith's freshman year, I think we were double digit dogs at Air Force and maybe SDS.

For what it's worth, Buffalo Bills were 17 point dogs today. Their win today was considered the biggest NFL upset in 23 years (from a point spread perspective). We need TVW to channel Josh Allen on Saturday.

Pretty sure we were at least 20 point dogs to Tennessee. That being said I’d say 16.5 sounds about right, and I’d probably bet BSU to cover.

I tend to agree. However, I'm tempted to go both ways. Bet on Boise to cover and place a much smaller bet on us to win on the ML. I'm guessing we will be +1000 - possibly even more.

I get the feeling this spread won't even be close to on point. Just not sure in which direction.

Some Bills fan apparently thought the same about his team's chances and put $5000 on the Vikings to cover the spread against his team. Didn't turn out well.

I believe that Wyoming will be in this game. Boise is not as good as some of you pump them up to be. The defense will show up. The question is how much will the offensive playbook be opened up now that TVW has been shown to be capable. 16.5 favorite...I bet it closes closer to 13.

There were actually some huge moneyline bets on Minnesota. Big bets with very low payouts. And as it turned out - no payoff.

If I'm to bet Boise, it's purely on history. We are 1-11 against them and very few of those losses have been close. Will Fort and Evans be back? I think we can stay in the game. That's why I might bet it on the moneyline. I just have a strange feeling we win or get blown out - nothing inbetween.

Yea well we don’t have Josh Allen playing for us anymore and regardless of how good you perceive Boise to be (I think they’re legit good, the OSU result is misleading) we certainly haven’t looked good to date. I’d love to be wrong, but think they will also bring a chip on their shoulder from 2 years ago.

I would take Boise and give 16.5, if I was a scumbag that bet against my favorite team. But instead, I will cling to the hope that we play like we did the first 6 quarters of the season, and not the next 10 (or 9.75).

pretty sure we were 12.5-13.5 point dogs just two years ago when Boise was in town in 2016. Look what happened then.

I thought the MWC was trending up but now I'm not sure. Is BSU really that good? Are we really that bad? I'm anxious to see this game. If I had to place a bet, I'd probably take bsu to cover.

I looked it up. It was even bigger than that. Boise st. was -15! They were undefeated at the time and we had lost to Nebraska and EMU. I had no recollection we were that big a dog.

Cooper Rothe with a last second FG to shut them up and learn that they can't just come into Laramie and get a win anymore!!! Sure hope we're ready

Big line for a team that got it handed to them by a team who got it handed to them.

Nice getting our play makers back. Wyoming by 5.

We are healing up and back into the conference schedule. It will be a 1 score game either way.

LOL. Look closer at the OSU result, not exactly getting it handed to you. On the other hand look at us vs. Missouri.

Part of me wants to say we can cover that 16.5 and part of me says we might get shellacked too, it's tough, but like a friend said to me, Don't be that Pokes fan that says I'm not going and then the Pokes find a way to win, I'll be kickin myself if I don't go. Cmon Pokes get er done!!
