Saw a tweet yesterday (WyoVarsity, I believe) that said East High grad Ben Wisdorf has been put on scholarship.

Yes, he was. His interview on KFBC yesterday was a bit funny because he sounded a bit more concerned that he had just lost money in Vegas following his 21st birthday than the fact that he would now have a scholarship and a stipend.

Is he still going to play LB? Really like the sound of somebody else deserving a scholarship in that position, since we do seem to be somewhat light.

Wyoming Cowboy basketball:

National Champions 1943.

Helm's foundation National Champions 1934.

NCAA tournament MVP and two time College Basketball Player of the Year Kenny Sailors, who is credited with inventing the jump shot.

Do you remember Cowboy Basketball?

I do.

A total of 5 walk-ons received scholarships. Direct correlation to the players dismissed from the team.

Congrats Gardner, Gilliand, Lopez, Schwab and Wisdorf. I like it! Sets a precedent that if you come in and bust your tail and prove you can play at this level, you can earn a scholarship!
