Four University of Wyoming wrestlers reached the championship quarterfinals Thursday during the first day of competition in the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Seniors Tyler Cox (125 pounds), Dakota Friesth (165) and Andy McCulley (174), along with sophomore Benjamin Stroh (184), all advanced to Friday’s competition with unblemished records.
Four other Cowboys remained alive in the consolation bracket — sophomore Drew Templeman (133) and Cole Mendenhall (141), senior Shane Woods (197) and junior Tanner Harms (285).
