Back on topic. The CST sucks ass. And so does Casper.
Hate the CST - what a poop rag.
disclaimer: I could be wrong. I've done it before...I'll probably do it again.

Worland is a perfectly nice town. Low crime, low cost of living, just gotta deal w/ the smell of the sugar beet plant once in a while.

I am a subscriber to both the WTE and the CST.
The ONLY reason I subscribe to the CST is for more Wyoming football & basketball coverage.
I'm at a loss to understand the critique of the paper insofar as their coverage of UW Sports is concerned.
Vorel has been a godsend for any Wyoming fan worth their salt.
Gags does a great job with the WTE as well...but Vorel has been a machine since he started covering the Pokes football and basketball programs.
When I saw him at media day I begged him to stay at least for two (2) years.
As far as I'm concerned the CST should pay him double what he's making now to insure he sticks around for a while.

I don't care about your beef with Casper, but I would like to know what your beef is with the CST. It's my main source (outside of Wyonation) for all things UW. I think Vorel is doing a good job, but what do you know that we don't about their reporting?McPeachy wrote:Dafuq happened to this thread. A small town Wyoming hate fest...geezus.

Honest question.

I was told that it would be in my best interest to keep my mouth shut (or comments to myself).Subcanis wrote:I don't care about your beef with Casper, but I would like to know what your beef is with the CST. Vorel, IMO, is doing a solid job, I agree. I hope it stays that way. Outside of him

Outside of him --- who writes and or comments about the POKES?
I am not from Casper and I do not think CasperWyokie wrote:Casper deserves a four-year university, not a lame junior college.
a four-year university, but I do think that Cheyenne and Casper both seriously need a four-year university. I think it would be good for the whole state if they both got one and I even think it would be in U.W.'s interest if there were a couple smaller schools in our two main cities.deserves

It's in UW's interest for its enrollment and funding to go down? I'm not following you on this one.WyoExpat wrote:I am not from Casper and I do not think CasperWyokie wrote:Casper deserves a four-year university, not a lame junior college.a four-year university, but I do think that Cheyenne and Casper both seriously need a four-year university. Ditto. The JCs and Community Colleges in Wyoming serve as almost a feeder system of students for UW, but another 1 or 2 4 year universities would thin out an already small "feeder system" if you will.wyokoke wrote:Yeah really not seeing the logic on that oneBrew_Poke wrote:It's in UW's interest for its enrollment and funding to go down? Fair enough, I think it is mediocre at best. Was just curious.McPeachy wrote:I was told that it would be in my best interest to keep my mouth shut (or comments to myself).Subcanis wrote:I don't care about your beef with Casper, but I would like to know what your beef is with the CST. Not talking about the Pokes and Vorel. As my post specifically states (regarding Vorel). And I will leave it at that.DocHolliday wrote:Outside of him --- who writes and or comments about the POKES?

Having lived in both places I can say living in Laramie is light years better. There is absolutely nothing to do there in the winterOrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 5:37 pm
