As of right now, Joe LeBlanc is in the placing rounds of the NCAA tournament, he is in the wrestlebacks. Michael Martinez went 1-2, as did Cory VomBaur. Shane Onufer went 2-2. LeBlanc was defeated in the quarterfinals by the #1 ranked Jake Herbert from Northwestern. He will now face Joshua Peterson from Binghamton. Winner moves on, loser wrestles for 7th place. Wyoming is currently 38th with 12 pts.

Leblanc pinned peterson! He will wrestle tomorrow for as high as 3rd and as low as 6th. He is our first All-American since the 90s.

This is fantastic. He will take on Doug Umbehauer from Rider. He is the #7 seed in the tournament, LeBlanc is 9th. The Cowboys now sit in 31st place w/ 17.5 points tied w/ American University.

Leblanc lost in overtime in the consolation semis. He lost to the wrestler who went on to take 3rd. Leblanc then wone his 5th place match! He finishes 5-2 at nationals.

This is exciting, Leblanc is a freshman!! He has the potential to be a future national champ if he continues to improve and do the right things. Martinez had an unlucky draw and lost to the 3rd place finisher in the wrestlebacks. I think if he had a more favorable draw, he too would be an All-American. Our best three wrestlers (leblanc, onufer, martinez) are freshman and we have a great class coming in (includes Tyler Cox).

Wyoming wrestling has the potential to be the best it has ever been in a few years. Go Pokes!!!!
