I guess we'll have to see if he did switch commitments. Given he is from Washington (much closer to home) and had a buddy committ, it wouldn't suprise me. In the end, we only want kids who want to be Cowboys.

I do not know if a "good riddance" approach is necessarily the best approach, even if it helps us as alumni and fans feel better.JimmyDimes wrote:In the end, we only want kids who want to be Cowboys.
It might be more accurate to say that we want the kids that were so good that they wanted to go play in the SEC but those coaches missed on. On the other hand, we cheer coaches who resist to temptation to offer home-grown kids on the theory that they would have had multiple BCS-level offers if they were really legitimate prospects. Some want kids who bleed brown & gold before they even arrive on campus, others want the best kids available, even if we only get their services for a year or two.
I can't blame anyone who has second thoughts after thinking about how far a trip to or from home will be for friends and family.

Good riddance? Seriously, you got that out of my post? Let me restate, I only want kids on our team that are committed to being Cowboys. If they choose not to be Cowboys, then best of luck to them. I even spelled out some reasons why he might have decommitted. Good riddance? Not in the least.WyoExpat wrote:I do not know if a "good riddance" approach is necessarily the best approach, even if it helps us as alumni and fans feel better.JimmyDimes wrote:In the end, we only want kids who want to be Cowboys.
