Mistake playing Waddell and Afam. Especially at the same time. That seems to be when the closure started.
And, as usual, Shroyer's opposing coach makes adjustments, but Heath won't or doesn't know how to counter.

Agreed on playing Waddell and Afam. I want them to get back and be able to play, but only when they are ready. Another disappointing game.

Correct! Afam made some crazy three's, so guess what? He kept taking them and they started drawing air! Coupled with Jaydee missing 6 straight freethrows and we lose the lead before half.Adv8RU12 wrote:Mistake playing Waddell and Afam. Especially at the same time. Announcers were bagging on everything Wyoming...from Afam "only playing 3/4 of the court" to "Waddell looks like he lost all his virticle game" to "it is like watching 3 on 5".
Wyoming (the kids) played well for exactly 10 game minutes (27 points). Then...they poop the bed. And Heath did nothing to stop the poop of the bed. That is the difference, right there, between a decent coach, and a pathetic one...when the slide happens and things shift...coach it - to stop it.
Embarrassing that in the last 5+ game minutes of the first half UW didn't hit one field goal, and went 0 for 8 from 3 point land in the second half. Oh, and JD...sorry to pick on you, but WTF on the free throws...1 for 8? 0 for 6 to start?
Dear Karma,
I have a list of people you missed...

You can blame coaching all you want. But the facts remain: Wyoming does not have 1 player that would start on csewe. We have no post up players and no one who is a legitimate post defender. We had to double team Ogide every time the ball went to him. In the meantime, not 1 Wyoming player requires a double team.
We have guards who are absolutely no threat from the outside. That little burst of 3's last night was an aberration that is not likely to be repeated very often this season.
Whoever the new coach is, he will have to recruit a whole new team, preferably a few rebounders and shooters would be nice. Although it would be out of character for what we have seen for the last 4 years.
This is the lowest level of talent I've seen in a Wyoming team since Benny Dees' last season. But this team takes the cake for poor free throw shooting and horrible passing.
That game was there for the taking last night. That's a decent but very beatable csewe team. It's going to be a long winter but a very short MWC tournament.

What clown was doing color for the UW/CSU game on the mtn? That guy is terrible. He sounds like the short guy that lives with his mom on "The Cleveland Show".

Gotta disagree with some of this. First off, we have some good players. I think Jackson, M'Baye and Thiam could all start for CSU if, and this is the key point, they were given adaquate coaching. Jackson could be one of the best players in the league.bladerunnr wrote:You can blame coaching all you want. But the facts remain: Wyoming does not have 1 player that would start on csewe. A decent coach could have this team playing in the top half of the league.

And who is in charge of bringing the players we have to Laramie? Remember, this is Year 4 for both Miles at CSU and Schroyer at Wyoming. So the talent level you don't like is a part of the coaching.bladerunnr wrote:You can blame coaching all you want. But the facts remain: Wyoming does not have 1 player that would start on csewe.
