A kick into the endzone, and not out of bounds or 10 yards short? What???
I think the kids the real deal. He hit another like 53 yarder in a game before this. The 61 yard is now the state record. He’ll garner a lot of D1 interest.
Made an official visit to Montana a couple weeks ago.

If nothing else, Hawai'i's K/PK/P Shipley just entered the portal. He got off to a rough start his freshman year, but evened out and became pretty consistent for them.

Feel bad for Hoyland though. He was one of CFB's top kickers, and then a couple bad kicks and a blocked one just wrecked him and he could never shake it.

Kicking is waaaaaaay harder than anyone gives credit for, and psychological problems run rampant at the position. Hoyland isn't the first, and won't be the last, great kicker to go down in flames.

Hasn't he already completed 4 full seasons?

His freshman year was the Covid year; he's got another season of eligibility as far as I know.
