I'm surprised they can't see that they are merely the first casualty. More from the p5 (now p4) ranks will be joining them. There is no avenue back to the highest level of football for them and soon to be others.
I like the idea of adding Oregon State and Washington State to the MWC. Not fond of the idea of additional expansion beyond those 2.
I would like to see the MW adding Gonzaga as well for all the Olympic sports partly to even up the numbers for all sports. Only ones certainly at an even number of teams...football with Hawaii and women's soccer with Colorado College.
I want CHAMPIONSHIPS not chicken poop! And we're getting chicken poop!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this guy is notoriously always wrong. A lie
If he has been right about anything its purely by luck. Guy is throwing sh*t at the wall 24/7 and seeing what sticks.
Well part 1 has come true. Here's hoping he's way off on part 2.

Why would Wash St and Oregon St join the AAC?

I thought for sure the ACC would have invited WSU and OR State, but it appears not, just Stanford, Cal, and SMU.

I'm not surprised at all. Without the PAC TV money WSU and OSU are just middle of the road MWC teams from an athletic budget standpoint. They rode the coattails of the rest of PAC for 100 years.

Now that they've been turned down by the ACC and AAC, they can settle into negotiations with the MWC. Frankly, they're a good fit. Small college towns, second schools in their respective states, $40-$60M athletic budgets.

The only sticking point left is whether they can keep any of the PAC residuals. If not, then there isn't any anything to do but congratulate them on joining the conference in 2024.

It's possible both WSU and OSU said "No Thanks!" to the AAC and they quickly said, "You can't break up with me, I'm breaking up with you!"

Very true points. I believe the MWC made pitches to both schools.
