Even if we dont hold on, I’ll give props to the kids on D and the staff for turning it around. After those first 2 drives, I had visions of New Mexico games past.

For sure. I think New Mexico was averaging almost 6 yards per carry right before they scored their second TD. Definitely glad we made it a game.

Now he can puff his chest that it worked out. I get it. D had played good D after the first few drives. Good for those kids. Way to stay in it and not give up .
 
Something not to be overlooked but pinning them on 1 was crucial. That last drive different if they get it at 20.
