Some thoughts:
1. Who the hell is Read Sunn?
2. Awesome to see Bertagnole on the 2 deep after all of the opt-outs and injured players returned
3. Surprised to see X listed as kick returner instead of Swen
4. Our O-line is absolutely STACKED
5. When was the last time we had 6 in-state guys on the 2 deep?

Good on Wells-Ross, I get that, he gets his degree - well deserved. Thanks for the info.WYO1016 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:08 amWells-Ross blew his achilles in spring ball and is set to graduate, so he's retiring.
No idea about Mora. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall with the emergence of Bertangnole, Godbout, Cole, and Meyer last year.

Did Hoyland handle any of the kickoff duties last year? Accurate Kicker obviously but not the strongest leg. I am concerned we are not going to be finding the end zones on kickoffs. Seems a place like Laramie could attract a booming punter/kickoff specialist. Luke Glassock has good distance on his kicks, not sure why he couldn't kickoffs. Anyone get a look at the Fr Punter yet?
I'm good for 3!

So the starter at DE last year, Jaylen Pate, is not on the depth chart. Is he still with the program, or did other guys just step up? Injury?

Read Sunn is a surprise. What happened to Shae Suianoa? He played some last year.WYO1016 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 9:57 am Some thoughts:

Also, I've never heard of the backup TE, O'Brien. Is he scholarship or walk on? What happened to Jackson Marcotte?

Hoyland does not appear to have a big leg, no. Can one develop the ability to kick farther? Seems like you can either do it or you can't.Cornpoke wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 4:58 pm Did Hoyland handle any of the kickoff duties last year? Accurate Kicker obviously but not the strongest leg. I'm pretty sure Marcotte called it quits . O'Brien is a JUCO guy from last year. He's on scholarship and saw the field a little bit last year. Hopefully, he sees it a lot more this year with the new offense.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 10:16 am Also, I've never heard of the backup TE, O'Brien. Is he scholarship or walk on? We have a Texas State transfer coming in, Clayton Stewart. Looks like he only handled kick off duties occasionally. His punting stats aren't overly impressive, but maybe the 7220 will improve him.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 10:17 amHoyland does not appear to have a big leg, no. Sorry, I think he's still on the team. He didn't play this Spring as he is rehabbing an injury.
Seven Cowboys will not participate in spring practice as they rehab from injuries: redshirt freshman defensive tackle Jordan Bertagnole, redshirt freshman wide receiver Alex Brown, redshirt junior defensive tackle Ravontae Holt, redshirt sophomore tight end Jackson Marcotte, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Mason Schultz, freshman defensive end Braden Siders and freshman safety Keshaun Taylor.

Marcotte was really good before his injury in 2018. Hopefully he can come back strong. He catches everythingPokeNer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 8:14 amSorry, I think he's still on the team. He didn't play this Spring as he is rehabbing an injury.

W-Y, Until I Die!
Great to see the depth. Based on what we saw last year, think both offensive and d lines are stacked. Should be good in the backfield and with Qb’s! Only area’s that I see as possible depth issues are Linebacking with three proven studs in Mumma, Gibbs and Hicks. 3 guys for two positions and our corners with two proven with not a lot of proven backups. Was glad to see the corner out of Colorado have such a great spring game. Our D line and ends are going to be stacked
