I agree. As much as I love Wyoming...there's no f-word way we'll beat the Smurfs with a backup QB on that Gawddamned blue field!!!! No one hardly EVER beats them on that poop blue field!!!!!!!bladerunnr wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 2:55 pmPlease share what you're smoking.WyoVaquero wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 9:39 am For this being the the biggest game of the year! I just hope they make a good showing and don't lose by 50 while TVW goes like 6-18 for 80 yards. You know they are going to stack the box and dare TVW and the receivers to beat them. The running backs are going to have some tough sledding against that defensive front.

I get the importance of offense, and the quarterback....but jeez has everyone completely forgotten we have a pretty formidable defense, going against a freshman qb, and a not so Boise State like o-line, and a freshman running back. We get to them early and often on the defensive side we have every chance to win. We might not score alot, but I also feel our defense will do it's part to give us a legit shot at keeping it close if not winning outright!

Our rush defense is good.aranderson wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:56 am I get the importance of offense, and the quarterback....but jeez has everyone completely forgotten we have a pretty formidable defense, going against a freshman qb, and a not so Boise State like o-line, and a freshman running back. Our pass defense is painful.

I agree. We due give up a lot conversions on 3rd and long and from what I’ve seen, bsu can take a sack and still convert on 3rd and long. Not a great combo for usfromolwyoming wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 12:17 pmOur rush defense is good.aranderson wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:56 am I get the importance of offense, and the quarterback....but jeez has everyone completely forgotten we have a pretty formidable defense, going against a freshman qb, and a not so Boise State like o-line, and a freshman running back. I'm not sure about this game. Honestly, I don't like the matchup. I'm hoping we can get the run going if for no other reason than to limit their possessions. If we get a bunch of 3 and outs, I worry this one will get away.

I wonder if there's any chance at all we see Levi getting quality snaps, or if that's only if we're down 35-0 or TVW is injured.

Boise is definitely overrated this season. I look at their schedule and results so far and don't see the 21st best team in CFB. Their "big" win is now a dumpster fire and they haven't beaten any one convincingly in conference. I am terrified of what our offense might look like based on last year's games with TVW. If he can make one or two big plays down the field we have a chance, but I'm not counting on that based on what I've seen. I think we probably cover the spread but can't make enough plays. Hope I'm dead wrong!
Hopefully Boise is looking past UW without Chambers. I think a lot of people have forgotten how bad the offense was before Chambers stepped in last year. It could be a very ugly game, but Bohl has these kids believing so maybe they'll grind this one out and keep it close.Poke in New England wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:15 pm Boise is definitely overrated this season. The healthy Cowboys that started this season against Missouri has a chance against Boise. Our current Pokes...down 2/3 RBs, top OLine dudes out, and back-up QB...quite a bit less likely. 35-17, Boise...unfortunately.
