Will hopefully be traveling thru your great state in about a month. Was wondering what the odds were for hwy 130 will be open? Went thru there as a kid and wanted to retrace that if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Should be clear this time of year. Only during the winter months (late September through April) does it really close down. Barring a freak snow storm at least.

It should be open. I'd check and make sure but it should be passable around then

Thank you. I know it is getting a bit late in the year where you guys can get snow anytime but I really want to come north on this trip.
If it helps my route is roughly this; coming from tn to the badlands, mount rushmore, devils tower, yellowstone, thru snowy range over thru oggallala then kansas and then home. If snow is going to be a big threat, like a major storm that would strand me then I will stay south. Thanks for any advice or warnings.

That is perfect weather. Can't wait until it's December here so it will cool down.
