Mine was last year. I loved the hard fought game and the weather, weather was decent at the start of the game and then started to rain and then it rained sideways and then started to snow and then snowed sideways. Our guys played so well and it gave me such a great feeling to win that game. I watched it over and over on youtube. In fact, I may watch it again before Friday.

On another subject I hate Friday games, Saturdays were made for college football.

1978 or 79, at foco. Csu was called for unsportsmanlike conduct at the coinflip. Their entire team went out for the flip, and they couldn't wait to release their inner douche. Ken Fantetti started tossing sheep as the refs flipped the coin.

We won, of course.

One I don't think a lot of people think of was 2010 when ACS had the stiff arm and we won by 1. Followed the next year by 44-0

2006, 24-0 and it wasn’t even that close.

That was 1996. We went 98 yards in the last 2 minutes to win by one. I remember it was cold and muddy. That was Walwork and Marcus Harris. Great game.
In recent years, I remember Brett Smith as a freshman leading us to the win in early December (2011) to finish the season 8-4. Smith threw 2 td's to Josh Doctson and I remember our band was at Hughes playing "the final countdown" in the last few minutes. Anyways, csewe fired their coach after the game. Awesome.

1996 game. Only watched it on TV tho because my parents wouldn’t take me to the game.

Attended - last year. The catch by Van Maanen.

The last two years have been pretty sweet. JA's domination at the final Border War at hughes and the epic snow game at the War. Both great memories. It's nice to smack CSU back down when they start to get a bit uppity.

Border War individual plays:

1. Van Maanen catch
2. ACS stiff arm. that was total personal humiliation for that ram defender
3. Brian Hill run at Hughes two years ago when he put his shoulder into that guy and he flew literally five yards in the air and landed on his butt. LOL!

'96 was legendary - night game, away, snow in the stands, and a big f-word you to the ewes to finish it off!

Haha even Glenn's teams had names. I really don't like that bohl won't put names on the jerseys. I don't buy the reasoning. As a player I would be much more fired up walking into the locker room on game day and seeing my jersey truly personalized. In plus that's a huge reward for players who don't see the field for their commitment and hard work put in for the program.

Favorite Border War was 2003. The last time I do believe the goal posts made a trip down grand. That was the start of an obsession for a youngster like myself at the time.

That pic is from 99 I believe. It’s definitely not 96. Also a good game

Good call! I see Wendell Montgomery but no Steve Scifres. Must be between 1997-1999.

Winning our last visit to that dump Hughes stadium as almost a touchdown underdog in 2016 and winning our first visit in 2018 to the new, on campus stadium that they said would sell out every game but "has" only twice in 10 tries so far.

Honestly I don't think it has anything do with motivating players or whatever garbage he claims... Its strictly about his preference. HE doesn't like names on the back and its convenient to wrap it up in a nice "tradition" pill for the fanbase to swallow. It's stupid.

Roach and Tiller never had names on the back of the jerseys except for bowl games and that was never a problem so...

Oh, you meant Border War game, not Board war game... :D

Have to be the '86 game in FoCo. Bunch of the CSEwe frat boys started a turf war in the north end zone grass area. No, literally, a turf war. Started pulling chunks of grass and dirt out and throwing it. The announcer actually said, "Would the fans in the north stands please refrain from throwing the turf."
We lost a close game, but I ended up banging the sh-t out of a hot little debutante I met at the game that night...
