Maybe not so crazy to wonder...
Report: ESPN to publish story on 'severe' rift between Robert Kraft, Tom Brady, and Bill Belichick. http://thesco.re/2E64Cgk
Thats exactly what I thought when I read the ESPN article this morning. Seems like every year 1 of the QBs slips down to the bottom of the 1st round or later. That could very well be Josh this year. I mean it happened to Aaron Rodgers for Pete's sake..
Now, let me preface this by saying I absolutely hate the Patriots. But, that would probably be a great place for him to end up. A ton of pressure to be the guy to take over after Brady retires, but still you're playing for a team that competes for SuperBowls every year. I said I'd buy his jersey wherever he goes, but not sure I can buy a Pats jersey..
I would love to have a chance for him to rub his detractors nose in the dirt. The critics are coming out in force and whoever does take Josh Allen will probably be booed by the fan base that gets him. I really really want him to be great to prove those people wrong.
That means I hope he goes somewhere where he isn't expected to be the man this season. I really and truly don't think he's ready to carry a bad team at this point in his development. I'm rooting for Pittsburgh, Green Bay, New England, LA Chargers, New Orleans, or somewhere like that. I think being a backup to a great would be just what the doctor ordered for Josh and if that means he slips to the top of the first round I'm ok with that.
I don't want the browns anyone but the browns. That team is where people go to burn.

In my biggest dreams I want him to go to the Browns and turn them around and win a Superbowl with them. Become a legend. But I also know that is not extremely likely and it would not be a great situation for him.
Likewise with the Broncos. I grew up a broncos fan and still watch more of them than any other team but I wouldn't consider myself a fan any more so it would be cool to be back onboard fully but I don't think it is a great situation in Denver either with their many young QBs fighting for the position and no veteran to learn from. Not to mention the other problems on offense they have.
If, and I MEAN IF, Josh Allen falls to 15 he would be the steal of the draft and a HUGE value pick at that level. I am still seeing a lot of "speculation" that if he is available at 5 Denver is going to pick him. I just don't see how he falls past 5.
Who knows though. Josh could have a terrible Senior Bowl and a terrible Combine and fall out of the first round completely. Or he could solidify a position as the #1 player. There is still a lot to shake out before draft day.

I don't see Josh as a slam dunk for any team to draft early and to be honest I don't think I would take him as my franchise qb right now. Think Steve Young and Joe Montana, Steve learned from one of the all time greats for some years and then when they felt like he was ready to take the reigns joe was traded and Steve young was the man. I truly believe Josh needs that kind of a set up to be successful.
Anyone else excited to pick up a new team to root for? If Cleveland drafts him, I'll immediately become a Browns fan and try to get out there for a game.

For sure. They'd be such an easy team to root for.

I've always said the best case scenario IF he goes to Cleveland is if they draft Saquon Barkley with their next pick and that's what Kiper has. He and Josh Gordon are exactly the type of weapons Josh needs to succeed.

Just remember... Elway, both Manning brothers, Jeff George, d McNabb, Farve, Bledsoe.... All had similar completion percentages.
Kellen Moore and Danny warfle had super high completion percentages. I haven't even bothered looking up more, because there are so many that don't pan out.
I love twitter right now. U can tell who actually pays attention, and who just points out stuff to make their own agenda look better.
