Meredith is officially now ranked #1 at 141 pounds which has to be the toughest weight class in the country with 6 different guys that are all National Title contenders and all arguably could be ranked #1.

1) Bryce Meredith - One 'official' loss losing earlier in the year to Cornell's Diakomihalis. Wins over Eierman, Jack and Heil. An 'unofficial' loss in the pre-season to Jack at the NWCA classic.

2) Kevin Jack (NCST)- Only loss to Meredith. Win over Heil. Senior Two-time All-American (5th and 3rd).

3) Eierman (Missouri) - Only loss to Meredith. Win over Diakomihalis. Sophmore All-American as a freshman.

4) Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell) - Only loss to Eierman. Win over Meredith. True freshman stud.

5) Dean Heil (OKST)- Losses to Jack and Meredith. Two-time defending National Champion, three time All-American (3rd, 1st, 1st).

6) Joey McKenna (Ohio State) - Undefeated. Transferred to Ohio State this year but has not faced any of the top 5 and may not see any of the top 5 until Nationals. He was ranked #2 when Meredith knocked him off in the Semi-Finals in 2016. Junior, All-American as a freshman (3rd).

This wt. class is absolutely nuts. Whoever does win this weight (pray it's Bryce) should be the NCAA wrestler of the year.

Intermat also posted their updated team rankings. Wyoming is up to #12 in tournament team rankings!!

Can anyone remember Wyoming ever being ranked this high before?

Wyoming was ranked higher when LeBlanc, Onufer and Hernandez were there. We were in the top 10. Joe and Shane were both ranked #1 at one point.

After thinking about it Onufer might not have gotten up to #1, but for sure was #2.

That team also had Michael Martinez and Pat Martinez. Lots of solid, solid wrestlers.

He is #9 in Intermat's new ranking. To be honest, #5 is a little high at this point as he lost to true freshman DeSanto of Drexel pretty convincingly early in the season and the win over Brock in Cheyenne was the result of the early 6 point feet to back move. Bridges has performed great this year but he will have to be even better to beat Brock again. The great part of it all is that Bridges is only a RS-Freshman!

That was a good team but I pick this year's Wyoming edition to do better than that team did at the National Tournament. Being in the Big 12s and the increase in competition really prepares this team better for the National Tournament.

That was 2012. We crapped the bed that year. Michael Martinez didn't do anything, Zach Zehnner didn't do anything (both were ranked throughout the year), Pat Martinez - nothing, Onufer was the #2 seed and didn't AA, LeBlanc was the #1 seed and barely AA'd. Everyone wrestled like crap except Fonz, who finished 6th

The dual with South Dakota St coming up will be huge. I know that is out a couple duals, but I feel like we should handle CSU bakerfield and Oregon St. just fine. Need to come out and take care of business in SD for those BIG12 rankings as well as to show the NCAA (they only have us ranked at 23) that they have us under ranked.
