end of story. I still can't believe how crappy they played today. :willybs:

sad thing is...they sucked more than the usual suspect of Otterson just not even getting his hand on a guy.

That is the one thing that stood out more than anything to me today.

For sure. Give credit to AF's defensive play calling too. But the line looked really unprepared for a lot of AF's blitz packages and a lot of that is coaching too.

Agree. 6 sacks, tons of pressure, and a solid handful of penalties all on the O Line.

The commentators for the game said that Air Force showed a lot of brand new blitzes, so I don't know how the coaches would have prepared for that.

On the positive side, now the offense has a bunch of blitz packages to evaluate and figure out how to deal with in the future. I'm sure other teams will try to use the very same ones against us, so if the O-line figures out what to do in those situations, it shouldn't be quite as bad. There were a few times when they managed to draw them offsides too, maybe they should try and build on that.

Most of all, I think it's important for ACS to have seen all these new blitzes... if he learns to recognize them, he'll be so many times better in the future. I'd REALLY love for us to get a fast TE, though, so we can have two players (Stewart/Alexander + TE) that have the potential to get wide open underneath on the blitzes.

I haven't seen anything on the recruiting info about us recruiting any OL players. Anybody else have any info on that?

We're on the list of 7 OTs, 1 C, and 2 Gs that have yet to commit anywhere. Two of them are from Hawaii, which is kind of nice, as that's not traditionally our recruiting grounds.

Also...I believe we still have 12 on the roster, with only 2 seniors...not including any RS's.

Any ideas on their names? I have a bunch of friends that live in Hawaii so.....

Wouldn't surprise me if Hawaii goes after them like crazy. UH needs an OL more than Wyoming does.

Here you go:

They're both pretty small, but that makes sense for the spread.
