Road Trip Ideas?

Hey everybody,
New guy here, thanks for having me. The wife and I are considering buying some property out in your beautiful state with the intent of using it as a vacation property now and to slowly build our retirement home on for the future. We'd like to narrow down a few areas to concentrate our search on but we don't even know where to begin. My thought was that we'd plan a little roadtrip through the state to try to get a feel for it. I'd like to try to figure out a route that will get us through as many of the different areas and regions as possible, but do it without backtracking all over the place in the process. We'll be coming from and returning to Washington State and we'll have about a week to 10 days to do it in. I love driving and don't mind putting in long days behind the wheel, I drive WA to PA at least once or twice a year and I usually do it in 3 days if that gives you an idea of my stamina, although this time we'd like to slow down a little and enjoy the scenery and explore a few places. So with that in mind here's what I've come up with so far, I was hoping you all could take a look at it and give me some feedback, let me know if it's realistic or crazy, if I'm wasting too much time in one area and not enough time in another, or if I'm skipping some place all together.
Day 1: WA - Cody
Day 2: Cody - Thermopolis - Lovell - Sheridan
Day 3 - Sheridan - Devil's Tower - Ft Laramie
Day 4 - Ft Laramie - Cheyenne - Laramie
Day 5 - Laramie - Casper - Riverton (with a detour to South Pass City)
Day 6 - Riverton - Dubois - Jackson
Day 7 Jackson - Yellowstone - Ennis, MT
Day 8 Ennis, MT - WA
Jackson and it's environs are way out of our price range, but I'd like to see the Tetons on the way home. We've done Yellowstone before but I figured since it's on the way we'd drive through it instead of going around. We've got another day or 2, maybe even 3 to spread out in there, to spend a second night at one of the stops or try to squeeze in some other area or town along the way. I know it's ambitious and we probably won't get to spend a whole lot of time in any one place, but I'm hoping it will allow us to figure out where we want to focus on for when we come back in a year or so to start looking at property. I know we're skipping the southwest corner of the state with this route, but I thought the drive from Riverton to Jackson would be pretty beautiful, let me know if you think that's a mistake. Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide. Hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.
Thanks,
