Oh wow, this is heartbreaking. I wondered why he hadn’t wrestled this year.

If I had to guess m, I’d bet some other program came up with some NIL money for him.

I guess he’s following Teyon Ware to OUOrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 5:58 am If I had to guess m, I’d bet some other program came up with some NIL money for him.

If he goes to OU, it will be because of Teyon Ware (as LanderPoke mentions). Ware was an assistant at Wyoming for the past 8 years and then left last month to take the same job at OU where he is from (Edmond).

And Ware went to OU because they can offer more $$.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 8:23 amIf he goes to OU, it will be because of Teyon Ware (as LanderPoke mentions). I would also assume that OU wrestlers get more NIL opportunities than UW wrestlers.
Good athletes with options will largely not stay at UW going forward...this will only accelerate.

OU is in Norman, just south of OKC. Edmond is just north of OKC.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 8:23 amIf he goes to OU, it will be because of Teyon Ware (as LanderPoke mentions). I believe he will because I believe he is the best 197lber in the country this year. NIL and transfer portal will make it damn near impossible for Wyoming to retain elite athletes (Neyor, Buchanan). How we kept Ike in basketball is a miracle and you can bet that there was definitely money involved.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 8:19 amI swear if he wins the national championship...OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:43 am Going to OU.

Buchanan has as good a shot as anyone since Ferrari got kicked out of Oklahoma state for the deed assault. It would just really be a gigantic kick in the nads to have a wrestler that started the season on our roster win a national championship. A championship that SHOULD be ours.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 10:15 amI believe he will because I believe he is the best 197lber in the country this year. From day 1 Ferrari has come across as a gigantic tool with some real issues. So I wasn't sad to see him kicked out of OSU.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 10:28 amBuchanan has as good a shot as anyone since Ferrari got kicked out of Oklahoma state for the deed assault. But yea, heartbreaking that we won't get to enjoy a National Championship and now Buchanan is directly competing against us in the same conference.

The entire team was eliminated on the first day of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas invite.

What the heck happened to Wyoming wrestling. That’s perhaps the worst performance in that tournament ever for Wyoming.
