Cale Davidson no longer listed on the roster after winning the Cowboy Open 2 weeks ago and being ranked 19th in the country?!?

Sam Turner a two time returning National qualifier no longer on the roster?

Tevis Bartlett no longer on the roster after wrestling the Cowboy open?

Can anyone explain what is going on?!?!?

Does anyone know what is going on!?!?

It is also worth mentioning that team has additionally lost Jace Rhodes, Donny Profitt and Hayden Walker. All 3 were 2019 commits and with impressive high school careers. Pretty soon there will be noone left in the wrestling room.

I heard Looney was having trouble keeping his grades up.. Can't speak for any of the others, but it is indeed concerning

A very underwhelming Las Vegas Open. Bridges takes 2nd losing 4-1 in the finals. Andrews takes 8th and Hastings takes 7th. Wyoming finished middle of the pack. The losses are taking their toll.

We miss Davidson badly. Did Samuelson even wrestle at Vegas?

Yes. Samuleson won his first match and then lost the next two losing to Freshman Hidlay from NCST who is ranked high (Hidlay's brother is great) and then losing to an unranked wrestler from Oklahoma in the wrestle backs in OT. Davidson and Turner were both huge losses because both of those guys probably place in Las Vegas.

As things sit - I don't see Wyoming with any AA this year. Bridges beat a couple unranked wrestlers by 1 point at Vegas. Big step back for the program.

Branch cites 'character issues' as the reason for all of the recent wrestling departures. Story below.

It seems really strange that 8 highly recruited wrestlers (the majority being Wyoming locals) all had character issues.

Wow at HWT too! I’m wondering if he was cutting? Davidson doesn’t look big enough to be a HWT but he is a damn good wrestler.

Branch is a good coach but something was seriously wrong this year and I wish there were more answers than shifting the blame and citing ‘character issues’ with damn near half the team.

Because some of us enjoy the sport and come here to discuss it, and others like you come here to use the same bad joke over and over

As with all threads, and all posters, feel free to not read it if your that uptight about it. Write what you will and have your own opinion (it is ok to still do so in America).

I am flattered though, I have only had 1 other stocker in my life, congrats on being a true solid #2.

A bit creepy, yes, but still flattering. :thumb:

There are a hell of a lot of us that care about wrestling. For those that don't, fine. Shut-up and go fart out your mouth (computer) on other threads. The reason most don't like wrestling is because they were never tough enough to do it and therefore never learned much about it. I am sure that is the case for McPeachy.

The wrestling team is rolling right now with dominating wins over CSU-Bakersfield and Utah Valley. This is shocking - Wyoming beats Utah Valley 37-9 losing only two matches. The two matches the Pokes did lose were by the best wrestlers (Bridges - pinned and Hastings in OT).

Utah Valley didn't wrestle 2 of their best guys (HWT and not sure who the other was).
