Looks like Edwards pulled the redshirt from Trace today. Tariq not available for tomorrow

Football changed the rule where you can play up to 4 games and still redshirt, does that rule exist in basketball now?

In football I think it’s 4 games roughly 1/4 of the season. Unless we play in 36 games, I doubt he’s eligible for this. That would prob put us in the national championship or another CBI best of three 😂

I thought that was already a thing in bball, but with a lower limit than football?

Nope...hasn't been done in any sport besides football, but there's a lot of talk that it will happen soon with basketball.

I could've sworn hoops had that but it was down at like 10% of games, in the past anyway

Yes but I believe that is for medical redshirts only. The new football rule will let any player redshirt regardless of why they only played a certain number of games.
