Pokes showed some serious fight today. Everyone wrestled well especially Mendenhall and Harms. Harms wrestling well just like I predicted. :thumb:

Mendenhall beat #8/8/11 ranked Chris Mecate of Old Dominion - I love to see those big upsets from this team, it shows how damn tough Branch has been on them. Overall a very good weekend for the Pokes. Colgan, Elliot and Templeton all wrestled tough, winning all of their matches. Cox wrested and beat #14 ranked Soria and #17 ranked Jeske. Harms at HWT wrestled and beat #18 ranked Henderson and #17 ranked Deuel.

As a team they beat #21 ranked Old Dominion 24-10, and won all three duals this weekend. An excellent recovery by this team after the Nebraska and Minnesota ass-kickings. Here's a write up from the University website detailing their weekend in New York state.... posting.php?mode=reply&f=4&t=11782

This team is starting to look tough and edgy, and it's good to see. GO POKES!!!

Great weekend for the Pokes! There were some naysayers out about where this program was after those two early losses but this should shut them up. Good wins for Cox but he will have to crank it up a little more in order to earn AA again. The team will need to keep improving, not an elite team yet, but define toy going in the right direction.
