Good for him. Wyoming has had great defensive coaches recently. Too bad Bohl wastes the abilities of his staff to coach defense with his little league offensive philosophy.

I’d be surprised if this works well. Dickert was blessed with great timing. Hazelton leaves a pretty good defensive team to Dickert and he parlays that into a Washington St gig. Being the head honcho is a completely different monster. I’ll say he’s fired after 3 years and goes back to DC somewhere.

He took Wazzu to a 7-5 record this year when that team was facing a lot of turmoil including winning 3 of the last 4 and a drubbing of rival Washington. I'd say he has adjusted to being the head honcho and produced relatively impressive results at the Pac-12 school that typically is last in recruiting classes.

I believe he went 3-2 after the other coach was fired over his vaccination status. That's still a good season as the underdog of the conference. It will be interesting to see how he performs moving forward.
