Poke in New England wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 10:45 am His worst games of the season came against Ten and KC after he hurt his shoulder briefly against Vegas. Both crappy weather games. He's had other weird games like against the Jets when he was up near 300 yards with 65% completion but the Bills managed 0 touchdowns and kicked 7 field goals to win. In general he has done much better with his full roster of receivers. John Brown is on IR which is a big loss, he opens up the deep passing game and takes pressure off Diggs. Bills also have a suspect running game and the defense is just starting to figure it out but are still way below last year. All in all you prbably have to say that Josh is the biggest standout on the team and without his improvements they would not be in 1st place in the division.
'PokeForLife wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:22 am They ran the ball a lot more this game than previous games. His fumble was on the exchange from the center -- nothing like his previous fumbling issues. Bosa on San Diego just had a fantastic game (3 sacks or something) and Josh didn't have any time to throw, so not many 15-20 yard out patterns had time to develop, which he has been killing people on throughout the year. That and for some reason they had Diggs running five yard curls quite a bit this game, and then curiously he would decide to run south rather than north.
I don't think Josh had a bad game, just had to do different things to win than in others.
Interesting. Thanks! Weird that they've had such a decline on the defensive side. I'm so happy that Josh has advanced to the level he has; he's such an exciting player.

Week 13 update:

Josh Allen:
The Bills beat the Niners in Phoenix 34-24
Stats: 32/40 375 yards 4 TD 6 carries 11 yards 2 fumbles 1 fumble lost
If you do the math that's an 80% completion percentage. 12th QB in history to complete 80%+ for 375+ yards

Marcus Epps:
The Eagles lost again, this time falling to the Packers 16-30
Stats: 2 solo tackles
Still putting up stats even though most of his snaps are coming on special teams

Tashaun Gipson:
The Bears lost their 6th game in a row after the Lions beat them 30-34
Stats: 3 solo tackles 2 assisted tackles 1 pass defended
Tashaun still holding down the secondary on a putrid Bears squad

Carl Granderson:
The Saints beat the Falcons 21-16 for their 9th(!) win in a row
Stats: 1 solo tackle 1 fumble forced
Carl's lone tackle was a big one. Strip sack of Matt Ryan.

Tyler Hall
The Falcons lost to the Saints 16-21
Tyler recorded no stats in the win

Brian Hill:
The Falcons lost to the Saints 16-21
Stats: 5 carries 18 yards
After getting the start last week Brian saw the fewest touches among the Falcons running backs this week

Jacob Hollister:
The Seahawks lost a head scratcher to the Giants 12-17
Stats: 3 catches 20 yards
Hollister got the start in this one. He's been seeing more and more action as the season progresses.

Mark Nzeocha:
The 49ers play the Bills tonight
Nzeocha should be activated from IR this week. He's been out since week 4 with a quadriceps injury.

Chase Roullier:
Washington shocked the world by beating the Steelers 23-17
Chase is currently tied for 2nd in the NFL among centers for fewest penalties with 5 on the season.

Logan Wilson:
The Bengals lost their 4th in a row, this time to the Dolphins 7-19
STATS: 3 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle 1 pass defended
The Governor will be a key part of the Bengals for the foreseeable future. Quietly one of the best rookie defenders this year.

Andrew Wingard:
The Jags couldn't hold on against the Vikings, losing 24-27
Wingard recorded no stats in the loss
After playing every defensive snap last week, Dewey played 3 snaps this week. The Jags are a bad team and they are trying to find what will work.

Eddie Yarbrough:
The Vikings beat the Jaguars 27-24
Stats: 1 solo tackle 2 assisted tackles
Eddie got called up to provide some depth this week and made the most of his snaps

Practice Squad:
Rico Gafford - Raiders
Cassh Maluia - Patriots

Season ending injuries:
Austin Fort (knee)
Mike Purcell (foot)

Week 14 update:

Josh Allen:
The Bills logged their 3rd win in a row, beating the Steelers 26-15
Stats: 24/43 238 yards 2 TD 1 INT 6 carries 28 yards 1 fumble
Not only is Josh cementing himself as an elite QB, he also now owns the franchise record for TDs in a season

Marcus Epps:
The Eagles surprisingly got by the Saints 24-21
Stats: 2 solo tackles
Marcus hasn't started since week 5, but that could change starting next week

Tashaun Gipson:
The Bears snapped their losing streak by boat racing the Texans 36-7
Stats: 5 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle
This one was personal for Tashaun after the Texans cut him in the offseason

Carl Granderson:
The Saints lost a close one to the Eagles 21-24
A rare no stat line for Carl in this one

Tyler Hall
The Falcons lost a tight game to the Chargers 17-20
Tyler was inactive for this game

Brian Hill:
The Falcons lost a tight game to the Chargers 17-20
Stats: 1 carry 3 yards 1 catch 12 yards
Brian is losing ground to Ito Smith

Jacob Hollister:
Seattle curb stomped the Jets 40-3
Stats: 1 catch 20 yards
Russel Wilson REALLY likes DK Metcalf, much to the demise of other pass catchers on the team

Mark Nzeocha:
The 49ers fell to Washington 15-23
Nzeocha is still on IR

Chase Roullier:
Washington won their 2nd straight, beating the 49ers 23-15
According to PFF Chase is the 4th rated center in the NFL this season

Logan Wilson:
The Bengals continued their losing ways, falling to the Cowboys 7-30
Logan did not play in this one due to a foot injury

Andrew Wingard:
The Jags lost their 12th game in a row (but still better than the Jets!) losing to the Titans 10-31
Stats: 2 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle
Josh Jones went down with an injury, which put Dewey on the field for the rest of the game in this one

Eddie Yarbrough:
Eddie got shipped back to the practice squad this week

Practice Squad:
Rico Gafford - Raiders
Cassh Maluia - Patriots
Eddie Yarbrough - Vikings

Season ending injuries:
Austin Fort (knee)
Mike Purcell (foot)

Week 15 update:

Josh Allen:
The Bills just demolished the Broncos 48-19
Stats: 28/40 359 yards 2 TD 3 carries 33 yards 2 TD 1 fumble
The stats say it all in this one

Marcus Epps:
The Eagles couldn't quite pull it off against the Cardinals, losing 26-33
Stats: 7 solo tackles 2 passes defended 1 INT
Marcus got the start and BALLED OUT in this one

Tashaun Gipson:
The Bears got revenge for their loss to the Vikings a few weeks ago, winning 33-27
Stats: 2 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle
Identical stat line from the last time they played the Vikings, minus a fumble recovery

Carl Granderson:
The Saints lost another close one, this time to the Chiefs 29-32
Stats: 1 solo tackle 1 sack
Carl just continues to prove that he is a stud edge rusher, even with limited snaps

Tyler Hall
The Falcons lost to the Bucs 27-31
Stats: 3 solo tackles
Tyler had the unenviable task of being matched up with Antonio Brown

Brian Hill:
The Falcons lost to the Bucs 27-31
Stats: 5 carries -2 yards 2 catches 9 yards
Rough day all around for RBs in Atlanta

Jacob Hollister:
Seattle took down Washington 20-15
Stats: 2 catches 17 yards 1 TD
Jake got his 2nd TD catch of the year

Mark Nzeocha:
The 49ers beat the Cowboys 33-41
Nzeocha finally came off of IR after being on it since week 3, but was inactive

Chase Roullier:
Washington couldn't hold on against Seattle, losing 15-20
Chase's rookie deal expires this year. He should be a highly sought after free agent.

Logan Wilson:
The Bengals handed Pittsburgh their 3rd loss in a row, winning 27-17
Logan was inactive due to his foot injury

Andrew Wingard:
Jacksonville continues to be God-awful, losing to the Ravens 14-40
Stats: 2 solo tackles
Dewey got the start, but this season can't end soon enough for the Jags

Practice Squad:
Rico Gafford - Raiders
Cassh Maluia - Patriots
Eddie Yarbrough - Vikings

Season ending injuries:
Austin Fort (knee)
Mike Purcell (foot)

While only a dream scenario, Chase Roullier going to Buffalo would be a net gain. He's a proven Center, has worked with Josh in the past, and would be less expensive than Mitch Morse (up and down, with a number of injuries).

Another one, obviously, would be Jacob Hollister. A good pass catcher, and reliable. Plus, he has caught for Josh before. That's honestly the Bills biggest weakness in their pass offense; a consistent pass catcher at TE.

I think Karl Granderson might turn into a stud for Nawleans. I thought he was the best athlete in his class while he was here.

He was constantly harassing Mahomes last night and was extremely difficult to keep out of the backfield on pass rush downs.

There are going to be a lot of highly paid Pokes soon. I think Hollister lands a decent contract in the 5m/yr range. If Carl can build on his success next year he can land a deal in the 3-5m/yr range. Josh Allen will be worth who knows how much 30-40m/yr??? Roullier is going to get paid a bunch 7-10m/yr for his services? Wingard, Epps, Hill will all be in the league for years to come and will get significant bumps on their next deals. Going to be some rich Pokes $$$$

Week 15 update:

Josh Allen:
The Bills handed the Patriots their worst home loss in the Belichik era, winning 38-9
Stats: 27/36 320 yards 4 TD 4 carries 35 yards
Fun fact: This is the first game since week 10 in which Josh hasn't fumbled.

Marcus Epps:
The Eagles fell to the Cowboys 17-37
Stats: 7 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle
Marcus again showing what he can do when he gets PT

Tashaun Gipson:
The Bears helped Jacksonville get the first pick of the upcoming draft by beating them 41-17
Stats: 1 solo tackle
Jacksonville is such a terrible team that Tashaun basically had the day off

Carl Granderson:
The Saints went hamm on the Vikings 52-33
Stats: 1 solo tackle
Carl looks impressive every time he gets on the field

Tyler Hall
The Falcons couldn't hold on and lost to the Chiefs 14-17
Stats: 1 solo tackle
Tyler's lone tackle was one of the prettiest ST plays I've ever seen

Brian Hill:
The Falcons couldn't hold on and lost to the Chiefs 14-17
Stats: 7 carries 36 yards 3 catches 25 yards
The Falcons rushing attack is an absolute disaster this year. They need to blow up the O-line and start over.

Jacob Hollister:
Seattle smoked the Rams 20-9
Stats: 2 catches 17 yards 1 TD
Identical stat line from last week

Cassh Maluia
The Patriots weren't ready for the Bills, losing 9-38
Cassh was called up to the active roster, but recorded no stats in the loss

Mark Nzeocha:
The 49ers squeaked one out against the Cardinals 20-12
Stats: 1 solo tackle
After an injury riddled season Nzeocha finally hit the stat sheet in week 16

Chase Roullier:
Washington lost to Carolina 13-20
Nothing to say here that hasn't already been said. Chase is gonna get paid in a few months.

Logan Wilson:
The Bengals beat the Texans 37-31
Logan was inactive once again due to his foot injury

Andrew Wingard:
Jacksonville got whooped on by the Bears 17-41
Stats: 4 solo tackles 2 assisted tackles
Wingard has a future in Jacksonville. Hopefully they get a coaching staff that can maximize that future.

Practice Squad:
Rico Gafford - Raiders
Eddie Yarbrough - Vikings

Season ending injuries:
Austin Fort (knee)
Mike Purcell (foot)

Doesn't show up on the stat sheet but Wingard had a great run on a direct snap fake punt. Took it 9 yards for a first down but was called back due to a penalty.

Lets see if Josh and the Bills can make a sweep of the Pats.

Edit: Also; got some Josh's rookie card and a few others for Christmas. :thumb:

Well, Josh did it again! Despite a few early miscues, the Bills waltz through an easy win. In Foxborough. Handing Belichick his biggest home loss, period.

Fun Josh Allen fact of the season:

Corey Bojorquez is the Bills punter this season. He has punted 37 times all season.
Between rushing and passing, Josh is responsible for 42 touchdowns this year.

It is absolutely INSANE to have a player responsible for more touchdowns in a season than team punts in a season. I'd love to see a deep stat dive to see if that has ever even come close to happening before.

Aaron Rodgers is 47 TDs to 44 punts so my guess is that it is somewhat regular for a QB who produces a lot of TDs in a high powered offense to have more TDs than the team has punts.

Week 17 update:
I'm including end of regular season stats this week, too. Lots of Pokes playing in the playoffs this year!

Josh Allen:
Light workload for Josh this week as the Bills locked up the #2 seed by beating the Dolphins 56-26
Stats: 18/25 224 yards 3 TD 1 INT 2 carries 3 yards
Season stats: 396/572 4544 yards 37 TD 10 INT 102 carries 421 yards 8 TD 4 fumbles
Bills single-season passing records now owned by Josh: Completions, Passer Rating, Completion %, Yards, TDs

Marcus Epps:
The Eagles season ended on a 14-20 loss to Washington
Stats: 3 solo tackles 2 assisted tackles 1 INT
Season stats: 34 solo tackles 12 assisted tackles 4 passes defended 2 INT
Epps had quite possibly the most impressive INT I've ever seen this week

Austin Fort:
2nd year in a row that Austin has been on IR all season. Next year may be the last chance his gets to prove himself.

Rico Gafford
Rico spent 3 games with the Raiders this year, but didn't record any stats
The Raiders love speed, and Rico has that. Hopefully he gets a chance to show that next year.

Tashaun Gipson:
The Bears ended the regular season with a loss to Green Bay 16-35
Stats: 1 solo tackle 2 assisted tackles
Season stats: 47 solo tackles 18 assisted tackles 7 passes defended 2 INT
The Bears still snuck into the playoffs as the 7 seed in the NFC

Carl Granderson:
The Saints crushed the Panthers 33-7
Stats: 2 solo tackles 2 sacks
Season stats: 10 solo tackles 3 assisted tackles 5 sacks 1 pass defended
Carl ended the regular season 4th on the team for sacks

Tyler Hall
The Falcons ended the season with a 27-44 loss to the Buccaneers
Tyler was inactive for the game.
Season stats: 4 solo tackles 2 assisted tackles
Mostly special teams work for Tyler's rookie season

Brian Hill:
The Falcons ended the season with a 27-44 loss to the Buccaneers
Stats: 9 carries 94 yards 3 catches 42 yards 1 fumble
Season stats: 100 carries 465 yards 1 TD 1 fumble 25 catches 199 yards
Statistically this was Brian's best season. We'll see how things shake out in Atlanta this offseason.

Jacob Hollister:
Seattle took the #2 seed in the NFC with a 26-23 win over the 49ers
Stats: 1 catch 6 yards
Season stats: 25 catches 209 yards 3 TD
Offseason should be interesting for Jake. He's shown that he's a viable option at TE for the Seahawks, and they need to make a decision on who to go with.

Cassh Maluia
The Patriots ended their season with a 28-14 win over the Jets
Cassh recorded no stats for the game or for the season
Although he was active for 12 weeks of the season, Cassh didn't get on the stat sheet. The Patriots seem to like him, though, so I suspect we'll see more of him next year.

Mark Nzeocha:
The 49ers ended their injury riddled season with a 23-26 loss to Seattle
Mark recorded no stats in the loss
Season stats: 1 solo tackle
Nzeocha spent 12 weeks on IR this season. He did end the season with a start, though. Hopefully he can stay healthy next year.

Mike Purcell:
Season stats: 8 solo tackles 5 assisted tackles 1 sack
Although his season ended early after a foot injury, Mike looks to be part of the Broncos long-term plans.

Chase Roullier:
Washington won the NFC East (not saying much) with a 20-14 win over the Eagles
Chase started all 16 games for Washington this year
Stats: 1089 snaps 5 penalties 1 sack allowed
As stated in another thread, Chase got PAID with a 4 year extension in Washington

Logan Wilson:
The Bengals ended their season with a 3-38 loss to Baltimore
Logan ended the season on the inactive list
Season stats: 23 solo tackles 10 assisted tackles 1 sack 3 passes defended 2 INT
Logan is going to be a key contributor for the Bengals for the foreseeable future

Andrew Wingard:
Jacksonville lost their 15th game in a row, falling to the Colts 14-28
Stats: 5 solo tackles 1 assisted tackle 1 pass defended 1 INT
Season stats: 33 solo tackles 15 assisted tackles 5 passes defended 2 INT 1 fumble recovered
Both of Dewey's picks this season came off the arm of Philip Rivers. Not a bad season for Dewey. He should be in the mix to start next season.

Eddie Yarbrough:
The Vikings ended the year with a 37-35 win over the Lions
Stats: 1 assisted tackle
Season stats: 4 games played 5 solo tackles 3 assisted tackles
Eddie is still living the dream of playing in the NFL, but for how much longer is anyone's guess. Hopefully he can catch on somewhere next year.

-------------------------------------

I'll make a seperate thread for the playoffs. Thanks to FarEastPoke for passing the torch! I've had a lot of fun with this over the season.
