#50 Ryan Gatoloai-Faupula? Was a promising LB from Sacramento - last listed as a 2018 Sophomore, 6'1" 216. I remember him being highly praised by Bohl in the spring of 2018...now it appears he isn't even on the roster. Couldn't find any news, etc.

Good info - thanks. I liked his energy - and am surprised he is bailing after all the praise Bohl gave him last spring. He was buried on the depth chart at LB last season and didn't get much PT at LB, but I figured he would be the #1 back up this season behind Cassh, with Muma backing up Logan.
Is it me, or do we have quite the revolving door going on with UW football?

I agree. Seems like almost nobody is a lock to have for four years.McPeachy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 9:17 amGood info - thanks. Is this something going on everywhere in college sports now though? It seems like the uptick happened right after the new transfer rules, so it makes sense that other places probably are having the same problem. Don't know for sure though.

I think it's been pretty common for college sports in general. If you don't get play time and you see kids coming in after you who play more (and let's be honest, it's because they're a better fit for the team and perform better), transferring makes sense.
One of my son's hockey coaches transferred from DU to some New Jersey DIII college because he wasn't in the lineup much and then lost his scholarship when he kept getting injured. Pretty common back then, and still pretty common, I guess?
