They reported that nico had 111 yards rushing at 6 yards per carry. Bohl mentioned nico improving himself quite a bit and it was reported that he really dedicated himself this year

Weird things happen senior years for running backs . They either drop off the map or pick it up a notch. Can’t remember the first name but there was a Harrison who tore it up under Glenn in some games (CSU) and he was a seldom used senior. I think Nico can be a good one with Bigelow getting some good reps.

Honestly, the way he was talking about Evans with the papers after the Woods change, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

I heard that from a pretty good source so take that FWIW. He did take 3rd in the shot put and has very nimble feet for his size. He's not exactly a pud or anything, but yes, it would be concerning if he started. geez we're thin at OL
Not the case. Frank is a 2-3 year project, as referenced. He could be great down the road...but needs some time (as most do).
Maybe, maybe not. There's really no way to verify anything. We'll know soon enough if he's cut out to play at UW. But he certainly has potential. He looked very, very young still as senior in HS
There is a way to verify...he had no scholarship offers from any D1 FBS school. He wasn't a top 25 Wyoming high school selection. He wasn't selected first or second team O-line in the State of Wyoming. He may not of even been the best on his own high school team - a team that was mediocre.

That all said, 3 years from now, he could be great - and I will give him that, knowing he will put in the work!
Agree that no onw will have any problem giving him any credit if he turns out to be great.

But my "source" who is, um, very very close to Frank said what I said in my original post. Not sure why my source would embellish. There are offers extended all the time without the public knowing it. heck, we kept one commit "silent" for months last year (or was it the year before?).

anyway, who cares.. We all hope Frank turns out to be all MWC and turns into a third generation Wyoming great
Ive seen the kid play since junior high, and if he cant make all state 1st team or 2nd team that says all you need to know. Hes a good kid but good kids don't translate into D1 lineman. I hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't see it!! He will have to work twice as hard as any of the lineman to see the field. I'm quite confident he will not be an all MWC selection or a 3rd generation great.

In my experience, the closer the relationship between two people, the more likely one would embellish the accomplishments of the other. It's just kinda human nature to put the ones you love on a pedestal.

But, that doesn't mean that's the case in your situation so I'll take your word for it.

Yep, not going to mention any names, but I had senior class projects with a player in 2005 who claimed that several teams told him while they wouldn't probably draft him, he'd have no problem working his way onto their teams to be a steady starter in the NFL within a few years.

To be fair, he did participate in workouts with at least one team.

Anxious for the first game. From reading and watching interviews it doesn't appear to be much depth in some positions (like o line). I'm sure that's frustrating for Bohl. At this stage of the process, you'd hope the depth problems aren't really an issue.

Amazing how we've struggled with consistent quality o line over the years and several coaches. Perplexing.

Insults are the last resort of fools with a crumbling position.
