Every year, for the last 8 or 9 years, I have ran the "guess the home opener attendance" poll. I always guess high, and am always disappointed by our turnout for the first game of the year. I hope to be surprised this year, with a 78 degree day and no winds.

It's Gardner-Webb and unfortunately a lot of people will choose to skip this game in order to attend the next few.

I'll be honest, I doubt I will be there after halftime. If that makes me a bad Pokes fan, so be it. I drove 24 hours over the course of 2 days to catch last week's game.

I'm guessing 24000 as it's opening day with beautiful weather

Coming off a loss and having a huge home game the very next week don't help... My heart says 25k but my brain says only 20k

Good weather might bring more people out. Let's say 21,500 since I'm an optimist.

22,500 and a lot of folks staying home saying, "eh, I'll wait for the Oregon game."

0-1, perceived easy win, and Oregon next week = 17,500...at best.

21,000. Should get 25k for the home opener every year but will get 21K.

Nothing! You were a pessimist and UNDERESTIMATED the attendance. Pessimists are frowned upon in this forum. My 19,247 estimate wins. I'm an optimist, but a REALISTIC optimist (not like the ones that predicted 24,000)

I thought for sure we would have more. First day selling beer at the war. A chance to watch a pokes win, opening day, josh Allen hype, and hunting season isn't in full swing.
