Re: And it's a proud moment for these pokes
Has anybody noticed the difference between this team and all of Bohl's others while at Wyoming?
Peasley.
He was not drafted by Bohl and appears not to be the type of QB Bohl recruits. I think if Levi was the QB the Pokes would be like their preseason predictions.

Re: Wyo. 11.5 point favorite at Hawaii
Long ago didn't one Poke coach take the team to Hawaii on game day and then after the game let them enjoy the islands for a couple of nights, avoiding the pregame distractions?bladerunnr wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 9:29 pm It's the jet lag and all the distractions that make playing at Hawaii difficult.

Doesn't look like the "crowd" (all 500 of them) helped NM much.

If you don't run it up the middle then how do you expect to lose the game?

A Denver Post sports writer today posts Vigen as a possible candidate to replace the just-fired football coach at the Univ. of Colorado.

That's a bold assumption , assuming that the Pokes can get close enough for a field goal.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:43 pm The score will be 6-3. Who the winner is, I am leaning toward New Mexico after last week but the homer in me has me taking Wyoming.

Re: Absolutely disgusting effort
My observation: The offense is too "vanilla". No surprises whatsoever. No variety. No trickery. Just blast straight ahead and overpower the defense. That works if you have a powerful team. The Pokes aren't.

I'm thinking the same. This is one of the worst offensive game plans I've seen this year.. Did any of the coaches look at the SJS defense in previous games?

Re: SJS a slight betting favorite this week
It's their good passing attack. It's our poor passing defense. Unfortunately, I would have to pick SJS. However if the Pokes implement a strong pass rush I could change that. The secondary won't do it.

Re: Going forward.
Just an observation, but putting a lot of heat on the passing QB seems to help a lot . Use a 4 to 6 man defensive line to get to the QB?

Could that be because he wasn't recruited by Bohl?LanderPoke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 3:29 pm It’s been a while . After Chambers, Williams, TVW, etc.

Re: AF predictions
Poke secondary is weak, so AFA will exploit that with passing since their ground game will not perform as usual.

Yah. And there appears to be no TV for next week's game so radio is it. But wait! Maybe listen on the Northern Colorado radio version, presuming they have one.
