Re: flyer in the mail states the new box seats cost

Let's see...If I delay my retirement to age 75, I think I can get myself the seats. Worth it?

Re: Back to Stepping Stone Coaches.

When we were a stepping stone school our record was around 62% between 1980-1999. Actually, I'd argue that for much of that time, and when the vast majority of wins were posted, were were NOT a stepping stone school. 1988 - 1991 - Paul Roach. That guy wasn't looking to step up to another school. He...

Re: Can we drop Powder river Let 'er Bunck now?

I've gone to games (at least ones I remember) since the early '70's. Powder River, Let 'Er Buck never existed at UW games in the 30 years leading up to Joe's arrival. Yes, it may have been used for other institutions or whatever in the state, but not at UW games. Just wanted to put that out there, e...

Re: Gregg Brandon from Bowling Green is Fired!

According to the story I read this a.m., BGSU was failing their APR and were losing schollies as a result. That would be the reason to let him go.

Re: What is up with Stutzriem's comment?

Something along the lines of if Joe goes, so does he. Who the hell does he think he is! If that is truly how he feels (and he wasn't just being a typical 19 year old know it all that mistakenly spouted)...time to cut bait. Good effing riddance you dime-a-dozen chump! He apologized on the AD's press...

AD Presser Comments on Coach Search

From the AD's press conference... TOM BURMAN: * what are criteria for a new coach - Leadership, orgainzational skills - Recruiting ability - What staff can they bring with them - Want a winner, won't limit to any given level of coaching experience (BCS vs. lower div) * Timeline? - No set timeline. *...

Re: New News -- 23 Oct 2008

I remember a lot of coaches saying that Vic was a good coach and all that, too.

For the record, I think Joe is a much better coach than Vic. But I also don't listen to other coaches when they lay out that type of palaver.

Did Joe Glenn Lose His Job Last Saturday?

My original take was "Yes, he lost his job." The silliness of rotating QB's like they did just pointed out the desperation that the coaching staff feels. Which means they've been given a hint that they're going away. Today, I'm more along the lines of "hey, they can make anything happ...

Was it Cockhill or Glenn?

In today's Denver Post, coach Glenn says we'll be yanking each QB when they make a major mistake. Starting with Crum, moving to Sween, and moving on down. Does that sound a lot like the strategies of prior regimes? It makes me wonder how much of the QB destruction machine we have become is due to Jo...
