Good point, facilities are already there. Maybe because it isn't an NCAA sanctioned sport yet... not sure.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 7:33 pm The RMAC announced it will begin sponsoring women’s wrestling next year as a conference. Wyoming needs to get a program ASAP!! Why we are behind the curve on this, I don’t understand.

Re: SDSU to Final Four
SDSU won't care...if they stayed, their payout for basketball would be less than $1 million (~$125 -140,000 per year for 6 years). If they went to the PAC, they would get about $33-34 million per year thanks to football. A touch more than the ~$4 million they make per year in the MWC.

Re: Bring back the baseball program
Not trying to be pissy but how come they can do it and we can't? https://gobison.com/facilities/newman-outdoor-field/4 No one is saying we can't do it, just that it is not realistic. And NDSU is a perfect example of the obstacles that UW would face. Looking at NDSU schedule, their first game was Fe...

Harsh broke his kneecap before last season. is that an easy one to come back from? Depends on a few things. Was it a complete fracture, or just a stress reaction or partial fracture. Was it just bone or did it involve the quadricep tendon or patellar tendon. Was the medial patellofemoral ligament d...

Re: Transfer portal - is it really ultimately good for (most) players?
Transfer portal is right because players should have the option to freely move to where they see themselves as a better fit. Employees typically have this right to freely change jobs/place of employment as well. The issue is NIL. NIL, IMO, is actually going to destroy opportunities for athletes. Th...

It was in his instagram. Not sure if he is all cleared to wrestle, but he said he “will be back”. If he is reformed and cleared legally, maybe Wyoming should take a look No, we shouldn't. He is bad news. From the interviews I saw and the way he conducts himself (outside of the charges), he has some...

Also i have a ?....Does Laramie really truly suck as almost all our student athletes think it does??? Really? Does Laramie suck? No, but that's very subjective. Do a lot of student-athletes dislike Laramie? Absolutely. I know that a few years ago the majority of the players on the football and bask...

Got 3-4 million bucks laying around? Half for baseball, half for women's programs. While it would be fun, just doesn't seem realistic. Triple that figure at a minimum. I was being very conservative. I suspect you are closer to the real number, but you could probably do a bare bones program for $1.5...

Yea - I don't understand the tie of Wicks leaving. He was offered a D1 head coaching job likely with a significant pay increase. Why wouldn't he pursue that? Absolutely agree. I don't know Wicks mindset but I have to imagine most college assistant coaches have the ultimate goal of being a head coac...

If things go south and we are stuck in a dilapidated MWC, Burman should push for out of the box. There's no point arguing with you guys, that's why I've tried to stay away from this thread. Fact: the vaccine saved hundreds of thousands of lives Fact: natural immunity clearly wasn't sufficient based on the millions of people that died Fact: I never supported mandates, but I did support people ge...

Not sure what point you are trying to make. Nothing new in this article that wasn't already known. If anything you should be happy. Data showing that, while the vaccines did save lives, there is still room for improvement. Uh oh... https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/natural-immunity-protect...

You guys act like this is all information that everyone knew and they kept hidden. There was no way to know any of this in the height of the pandemic, this took months of longitudinal studies to identify. In the mean time, they followed best logical practices, did ALL of that pan out? No. But did a ...

Realistically, a Mountain West level NIL collective is going to probably have to shell out at least half a million a year to be competitive. I don't know if beer sales are going to cut it for that amount.
San Jose and Boise both have NIL collectives set up already from what I can tell.

Philly also got bailed out on a call when the receiver fumbled and KC took it back for 6 but was overturned. Just like the PI, borderline call that had a huge impact. Certainly not a fumble. It was absolutely incomplete - had it in his hands for like a quarter of a second of real time and made no s...
