No, I'm am an Athletic Trainer, hence my familiarity with sport-related injuries. You can ask if you'd like, not sure how much help I'll be able to provide though.LasCrucesPoke wrote:WestWYO you a doc? Have some OT questions for you if so.

Re: A little ACL education
Hey WestWyoPoke, have you worked with anyone who used stem cell injection instead of surgery to repair the ACL? I know they claim it is effective in all but the complete retracted tears, but just wondering if that is true or not. I've never worked with anyone using stem cells for an ACL repair. Typ...

Re: A little ACL education
So, a couple of questions: How are they surgically repaired? Do they use artificial tendon or just reattach what was torn? When an ACL is completely torn or torn enough to be considered non-viable (usually a tear >50%) it will be replaced. A machine will be inserted arthroscopically that will essen...

A little ACL education
Given the abrupt introduction of ACL injuries into our discussion I wanted to give you guys just a quick note on some ACL vocab. I know this sounds nit picking but it's one of those things that drives me crazy, plus I think it's good for the general public to know. When discussing ligaments (ACL, PC...

I'll be there, my first trip to Moby. Gonna do a little pre-gaming in Foco too. I'll be the guy wearing the bright yellow shirt in the middle of a bunch of csu fans.

Re: Men and women vs. Fresno
Gutty win, obviously crushing loss to lose Nance. All I can really say is, if indeed his season is over, lets hope he comes back better than ever!! Use it as motivation and win MWC player of the year next year! If it is indeed an ACL, I'm sure he will attempt to play next year but sadly basketball ...

Re: Let's not forget
Watching it on tv, you could just feel the energy get sucked out of the building. When Larry went down and Fresno went on a quick run, I would have put money on us losing just based on that being the biggest momentum swing I've seen in a long time. Kudos to the boys for not giving up.

He is laying on the bench moving his legs, While I know he is done for this game if it was blown I wold expect him to already be in the locker room so crossing my fingers and really hoping someone steps up big time right now tonight because we need the to. Doesn't really matter if he went to the lo...

Re: Real good interview w/ Brett
The last paragraph mentions the importance of Pro Day for Brett. I have to say that this might be the busiest Pro Day Wyo has ever had. With 3 possible draft picks working out including one that should have been invited to the combine I would bet their will be a LOT of scouts in Laramie come mid-Mar...

Re: Laramie Airport
If they were to book it a year in advance...absolutely. If they wait until 3 months before the season, probably not. The Holiday Inn or the Hilton would have more than enough room for a D1 team. The Hilton also has plenty of conference space for team meetings, meals, etc. However, as most of us know...

Re: Bret Bielema wants to change college football
The sad part is a program like Alabama could give 2 poop about their bowl allowance. While a program like Idaho would love an equal share, Alabama could care less (relatively speaking), as they bring in a LOT more than that every year.

Re: Too early for optimism?
I don't know Beav, right now Wyo is sitting at 89 in the RPI. Of the 7 remaining games, only 1 is in the RPI Top 100 (Boise @ #60). Meaning even if we win out the regular season, our RPI will not go up drastically. IMO, the only way we go dancing is by taking the MWC tournament. Now if we win out an...

Re: We are going to win out.
The only thing more predictable than the fans going from "We are awful the sky is falling" to "We are winning out" after a win, is that when people start pointing out how bi-polar our fanbase is, people respond with "I don't know who you are talking about no one has over re...

Re: Laramie Airport
When I was at UW, the football team would fly out of Laramie on a 767 (not sure if it was a 767-200 or 767-300). Either way, that is still a decent sized plane. Certainly big enough for any football team to fly in IF they wanted to.

Allegiant no longer flys out of Ft. Collins/Loveland. They pulled out last year and there are no regular commercial flights in or out of that airport.CowboyCO wrote:BTW -- I just checked, and the Ft Collins/loveland airport has an 8,500 foot runway as well and they run commercial flights out of there to Vegas.

Average contract for a 3rd-7th round pick is less than $600,000/year. So well off? Certainly. Multi-millionaire...no.

Re: Bohl in Casper Article
From what the NDSU folks have been saying, Bohl will more than likely close practices to the public. Pretty much par for the course in D1 FBS football nowadays.
