Re: Feelings thus far
You told me to get back to you when I saw people who thought the hire was awesome, so ..... Ah...I see the confusion. You may have meant something that you did not write perhaps? That comment came after a short discussion about Ryan Thorburn.....to remind: The work he does seems good. The problem h...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
https://twitter.com/7220sports/status/1779962483941187984 Very disappointing news. I’m someone who is very high on Svoboda, but even if he is the second coming of Josh Allen, our backup is very likely to see the field for a significant amount of time at some point in this coming season. Right now t...

Re: Feelings thus far
Honestly think other poll option suggestions are great. I just said I didn't think these were too far off. I'm sure most have somewhat mixed but the poll is about your prevailing opinion about the coach hires. Regarding the rest, it looks like some think the hire was, dare I say, awesome? Fair enou...

Re: Feelings thus far
Meh, those cover most opinions about most feelings of the primary thoughts which are not surprisingly more diverse than you tried to pigeon hole. What are you talking about... Who am I pigeon holing? (Is holing a word) I'm not taking issue with the three options... I just feel like I'm somewhere be...

If you can't climb the depth chart at WYO, you are probably right. Or more likely out of football.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 2:19 pmProbably given a realistic assessment. His best bet is probably FCS or D2.

Re: Feelings thus far
Need an option between "right man, right hire" and on the fence.... Given the choices...I Guess I'm on the fence but I don't see any glaring red flags. Maybe cautious optimism? Also.. Need sub options with the nepotism angle. It totally could be the right hire and a plot to promote Aaron ...

Re: How do you feel about the QB position
Seriously though, I just said that I don't think it's settled 100% and I don't think it will be until about game 3 or so. I think Carson has some skills so we'll see. Where do you think he takes those skills? My money is on an Idaho State type team. Who knows. I definitely thought he had the skills...

1 spring scrimmage in, so still early. A lot has changed. Svoboda has a big arm. The offense is definitely different. Defense has a lot of continuity. How are you feeling about the new* coaching staff.

Re: Pokes Insider
Yeah.. good luck to Jay and all but there are right two groups of fans in regards to his hiring. thinking everything is fantastic is not an opinion held by anybody. Fans either hate it right now or they will come to hate it when the program declines over the next few years. In the event Wyoming act...

Re: Spring football
With a Heisman candidate solidly entrenched, I was hoping the O would be a little further along. Still no need to overreact. Receivers look to be better and obviously a qb that can get them the ball from anywhere under any circumstance. Just need to refine the pass protection.

Re: Pokes Insider
Or perhaps inquire why some may perceive that only some demographics get promoted with seemingly unilateral decisions. Edwards was promoted in hoops. I think there are obvious differences but also realize I'm on an island on this one. Maybe I'm wrong but we have differences in opinion. I think some...

Can you name one woman who wants to compete in male swimming? Or tennis? Or golf? One! There’s a reason it’s going one way! Except it's not going one way, that's just a false assumption on your part. The work he does seems good. The problem has always been the work they don't do. Probably not uncommon for small Market teams but WYO media is largely a regurgitation of athletic department talking points. Very little unbiased, hard hitting reporting which greatly helps accountability. One of the m...

Re: Uniform Updates
I hope Sawvel is able to keep this level of excitement going into the season. The players really seem to love him. Usually that translates to playing harder and better buy-in. The stage is certainly set. Another generational qb. Continuity. Adding to the uniforms. Player buy-in. A schedule pretty c...

Never mind. Found it. 7 conferences of 10 teams that have guaranteed spots on those conferences. An 8th conference of 10 best g5 teams with a promotion/relegation system. Forms 1 group to basically collectively bargain with players. Conferences cancelled their meetings with this group, so didn't eve...

Anyone have good links with details about the CST model? Probably not going anywhere, but it'd be interesting to see what they are proposing. Re: How do you feel about the QB position
According to this, as of today Sawvel likes Jayden Clemons to be the backup. Carson May not even mentioned. https://7220sports.com/pokes-practice-report-dont-mistake-kindness-for-weakness/ Nah. I heard from a local nickname expert that May and Svoboda are neck and neck for the starting gig. Lol, re...
