Re: COVID Breakout on Football Team
Sweden also has the highest death rate per capita except the US. Per the numbers I am seeing Sweden is lower than UK, US, Spain, Brazil, Belgium among others. Also lets keep in mind are those deaths comparing apples to apples, and lets wait and see what happens when places that locked down open bac...

Re: Let’s go!!
Looking forward to see the details. I have heard 4 home, 4 away...with up to 11000 fans being allowed, depending. Not sure how the season ticket / game ticket thing is going to work out either. Hopefully this site will keep on top of the news and process, as our state media sucks A$$ (with the exce...

Re: This is a graveyard! Who's ready for MWC football??
Oct 31 is damn late. A couple weeks earlier would be much preferable https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/lead01/off01_temp.gif I know it is still a long way out, but November and December are being forecast for a 50-60% of being warmer than normal with normal precipitation...

Re: When the college football season starts
A lot of this is driven by fear, which is what I have such a difficult time understanding. I've never been afraid of cops. Every single one I've interacted with here in Longmont has been awesome... but that's not everybody's experience, and that's maybe why I should just shut the hell up and listen...

Re: Embarrassed to be a Cowboy, we need someone like Scott Frost at UW
Four years? Hasn't Frost only been in Nebraska for two seasons? Frost had a winning season in 2017 just for a different team. If this is the joke in Nebraska, that indicates some sort of transference in the minds of the fans of institutional problems onto their current coach. Or is it just a genera...

Re: Embarrassed to be a Cowboy, we need someone like Scott Frost at UW
I just had to laugh about the “Scott Frost” part of this post. The joke in Nebraska is that the Huskers should be glad there is no FB this year...Because for the first time in 4 yrs. Frost won’t have a losing record! He also said by year two NU would be competing for B1G West title and in year 3 ev...

Re: The MWC is canceling fall sports.
I would love to have some Cowboy football to look forward to this fall. Since I moved to Texas I don’t hunt anymore (I tried it a few times to put some venison in the freezer but it isn’t really hunting here. You sit in an elevated box and shoot one when it comes to eat the corn you put out) But I ...

Re: The MWC is canceling fall sports.
six-big-ten-teams-would-play-a-10-game-season Looks like some teams in the B$G are still trying to make a season happen. The ramifications of Whitmer not letting Michigan play while OSU does this fall would extend beyond the sports realm. Even more so if OSU would be able to play without an apocaly...

Heart thing overblown? https://www.outkick.com/university-of-michigan-cardiologist-questions-flawed-data-relied-on-by-big-ten-to-cancel-season/ Dang, you beat me to it. I am really liking that Outkick site. I generally enjoy reading Jason Whitlock's pieces even dating back to his ESPN days. Even wh...

Here is a link:
Without football, Wyoming could lose $8-15 million in revenue
Some good info about season ticket refunds, practice, and the current situation in general. I get being frustrated over this, but this is mostly out of Burman's and the University President's hands.

I'm wondering if he's wrong on eligibility? Has anyone seen anything on how the NCAA will handle eligibility in the case of spring football? We assume it just shifts to spring but haven't seen an announcement. If you play a few games in fall and play in the spring does that count as 2 years? If so,...

Keep going with the flow. Sure. See where that gets you. Being a sheep in the fold got us to where we are. No football, kids missing education, society at large walking around with masks on afraid to talk to each other, small businesses across America destroyed and a 15% economic contraction and a ...

Re: Bad News Coming Our Way
Honestly, with COVID, it makes sense that your large lecture hall classes be remote/online. Is it as good as being in the classroom, no, but how much interaction actually happens between the students and lecturer in those classes? I guess my point is, if these large lecture hall classes are the ones...

Re: OT: Could 2020 just end now!!!!!!
First off, the one incident comment was brought up because you literally said "To take one incident and make it indicative of the nation at large is questionable, at best." To the second part of your comment, no, not all white people are racist, but yes this absolutely is a racist nation ...

Looks like Cody is pushing back on this. Trying to find a way to get their nightly rodeo up and going and still hold the Stampede and the Xtreme Bull Riding competition.

Re: 2021 OOC Schedule Now Complete With Addition Of UConn
Will UConn even be FBS by then, or will they drop to FCS. They cut a ton of sports today. Depending on how long this COVID stuff continues, we could be looking at some big changes in college sports. That written, I have seen that UConn may be dropping from 24 to the minimum of 16 to stay FBS. I wou...

OK, last one, I promise. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm only putting this information out there so you can ask your state regulators about it. Here it is broken out nicely: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6915e3.htm#T1_down Rates of hospitalization for age 18-49 = 2.5/100,000 Of ...

Re: Wyoming Adds Cal Poly to 2024 Football Schedule
Are we talking low point for the football program or worst on the field season? They are not necessarily going to be the same. A young team in year 2 of a new coach in the middle of a major overhaul of the program with little experience going 2-10 with two conference wins vs an experienced team in y...
