The defense gets a pass this game. First game for the new staff and there are several starters who opted out for the year.

Vigen's 7th year and he still has not learned how to call plays when it matters.

Spring Practice

Normally Spring Practice is comprised of 15 days. Any reason the NCAA wouldn't allow them to be performed in the summer? Maybe allow practice to start earlier in the Fall?

Where's Linder from, hope he has HC experience He’s the current HC for University of Northern Colorado. UNC has beat Wyoming three years in a row. The Bears are 20-9 sitting in third in the Big Sky. Prior to his stint at UNC, he was the Assistant Head Coach at Boise State, so he has Mountain West e...

Any chance John Richardson returns as DC? He has been involved with Bohl’s defense as a player and a coach since 2007.

Re: Dickert and others leaving for wash st

Bohl has a plan. After pondering this last week, there is no way these guys woulda left all three without Craig's blessing. He has something in store for us I'm sure of it. I'm 90%+ sure it was P5 and money that drew the coaches away regardless what Bohl thought. I would wager that <10% is due to o...

Curt Mallory

Former UW DB coach Curt Mallory currently serves as the head coach for Indiana State. His salary is $200,000, so a move back to Wyoming would be a salary promotion. Prior he was a Defensive Coordinator at Illinois and Akron. He was a DB coach at Wyoming (2015-16), Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Centra...

Re: Dickert and others leaving for wash st

I’m too far removed but somebody mentioned Rocky Long—would he leave a head job to call along side Bohl? Marty English? (Where is he now?) Any SEC / ACC upcomers? I just hope that whoever Bohl hires he keeps the same style of defense / scheme. Our boys have played too well on that side of the ball ...

Huuuge salary difference. I think Dickert was making $250,000. Multiply that by 2.7 and you get what Claey was making: "Assistant coaches earned $3.4 million, with defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys ($676,875) and defensive line coach Jeff Phelps ($434,824.50) the two highest paid. Claeys is th...

So who is the Poke you speak of? Not sure if you are being sarcastic. If not... Jonathan Kongbo was from the Congo and moved to Canada. I think he only played high school football for one year. He signed with UW and redshirted as a freshman. He then transferred to Arizona Western College for a year...

CJ's brothers

Some notes of interest:

Apparently CJ Johnson has a younger brother (Keagan Johnson) who is being recruited by Nebraska and Iowa State as a WR/Athlete.

There is another brother (Cade) who plays at South Dakota State. As a Jr. he has already set several school records and is a FCS All-American.

Chau cancelled his official visit to Purdue. I'm assuming he still has a visit to Washington State scheduled for Jan. 24th. His twitter still shows him committed to UW.

I don't see it happening. Their current roster is geared for an air raid offense, so they will hire someone with familiarity to that or something similar. Also, Bohl does not have prior ties to WSU or the Northwest.

Re: Receivers next Season?

Wondering who will be the receivers will be next season with the graduation of Conway, Rocket Jr. and Okwoli. This is how our recruits have panned out over the last several years. Bolded players I assume will be on the roster next season. 2015 CJ Johnson had 51 rec for 835 yards before career endin...

Re: Chau Smith commits to be a Cowboy

Mike Leach is reportedly the new head coach of Mississippi State. Chau Smith was scheduled for a WSU visit on Jan 24th.

Rivals and 247 still show him committed to the Pokes. If we can sign him, he would be the highest ranked recruit of this class.
