Re: February 2020 Football Commits

I’m glad that people are posting the PWO recruits as well. So important to have them. I believe Garrett Crall was one and probably a few more. Josiah Hall? Anyway with a program like ours, it’s so important to find those guys and develop them. Yes, Wyo has had some big success with walk-ons in rece...

Re: MWC Finalizes $270M Media Rights Deal With CBS Sports, Fox

Overblown, when you think about it that 1.8 million would only be $150,000 to each school if it was spread out. That's not that big of a deal. Having Boise in the MWC is worth more than an extra $150K to each school. I get it, it's the principle of the matter. But no AD or President in the country i...

There's maybe 500 people here tonite, maybe At least you're seeing a pretty good game. Wyo. hanging tough. Is Hunter Thompson in the doghouse or is there some medical reason he hasn't played? It's believed he has mono. He was not in the building last night. If so, that sucks...probably done for the...

Re: If we can keep Maldonado, Foster, Marble, Taylor, Thompson for the next coach..

I think with the right coaching staff, Foster could be good. He's clearly athletic, just needs more guidance. Same with Marble, some clear guidance and he could be a key player in a year or 2. Fingers crossed that a staff change can do something positive for both Hunters.

Yeah, obviously it didn't change the final outcome, just pointing out that a couple matches could have been tougher but UVU bailed.

Re: Wrestling Attrition - Time to Panic?!?

The wrestling team is rolling right now with dominating wins over CSU-Bakersfield and Utah Valley. This is shocking - Wyoming beats Utah Valley 37-9 losing only two matches. The two matches the Pokes did lose were by the best wrestlers (Bridges - pinned and Hastings in OT). Utah Valley didn't wrest...

Re: Cowboys back to Austin 2023

I believe both the Cowboys and MN Gophers have open dates for 2026 and 2027. Would be great to get a home and home with those two schools. Gophers already schedule MWC teams fairly frequently. Agree. Minnesota is a lower tier P5 that would probably be amenable to a home and home as anyone Minnesota...

Is he a grouch or what?
Rocky runs a 3-3-5, Bohl wants a 4-3
Bohl has run a 4-2-5 for the past two years, not a 4-3. His obsession with the Tampa 2 was part of the reason his defenses were Sh#t before Hazelton stepped into the DC role.
Good call...still, a far cry from a 3-3-5

Burman named to the College Football Playoff Selection Committee

Tom Burman is 1 of the 3 new additions to the CFP Selection Committee. Also former UW AD Gary Barta is the committee chair.

Can't expect coaches to stay around forever, especially when you are going to Power 5 and doubling your salary.

All are a tough loss but Richardson is a big loss, he's arguably UW's best recruiter.

Re: WTE and CST: A Look Ahead to Pokes Football 2020

LB is where it only because we lose two multi-year starters, one of whom was All-American caliber. So, yeah, some drop off is to be expected. And here's hoping the new Safeties coach is able to shore up the secondary, got burned pretty badly all season. Even against teams that normally have a lot o...

Re: UNLV

I will be surprised if Maldonado stays in Laramie after this year is up. I think he will transfer, and Thompson will as well. Whomever is the new coach will have to do one hell of a sales job to get kids to stick around. Seriously, would you play to a packed house of 500 people on their phones. Me ...

https://uncbears.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/coaches/jeff-linder/568 I am ok with all of the suggestions but I thought I would throw this guys name in as well. He has done well at NC and when he was at Boise they had pretty good teams. He is from Colorado so he would be able to recruit locall...

Why in the world would Harsin leave Boise for Washington state... that's almost a lateral move. Sure, he'd make more money there, or he could wait another year or 2 and get a legit Big 5 job. Boise is the place that coaches leave to go to Washington, Michigan, Texas, etc., not Washinton state, Rutg...
