Wyoming was Boise St before there was a Boise St. No telling where you guys would be right now, but the dominance would have continued for awhile longer I'm certain.
If only Joseph Smith had come to his revelation a couple of years earlier. Damn that hat!

Re: Thoughts on Independence Bowl
There was a weatherman (can't remember his name) from the KCWY13 TV station in Casper that transferred to Shreveport just a couple of weeks before Katrina hit. He said the weather was too boring in Wyoming. I'm not sure if he went to a TV station there or to a National Weather Service office. Let m...

Re: Thoughts on Independence Bowl
Here is a piece I did on Shreveport back in October. Seems like a fun place to go for a weekend. http://cowboyaltitude.blogspot.com/2009/10/getting-to-know-shreveport-la.html I grew up just across the state line in Texas and my folks still live near there, so I get down that way at least once a yea...

Re: Fresno vs. Wyoming Game Thread
Working the midnight shift this weekend, but I DVR'd the game (along with the Horn b-ball game and the Cowboys...Dallas version). Just finished watching the Wyo game - Wow! That goal line stand was the fun bags! Great game by your Pokes. Carta-Samuels needs to learn that zone-read a little better, b...

How do you want the pics? Emailed, a link to my flickr page, etc? I have a few from the Texas game you may want to use.

Re: Most impressive thing I saw on Saturday
I can easily see you guys beating CU by double digits. I can also see you guys being a top MWC team in the near future once DC gets a team full of his recruits. I know you are right Burt (WYO is on its way back to football that we haven't seen for more than a decade). By the way, do you know a post...

Re: Most impressive thing I saw on Saturday
Whats up with your punter? Granted, he wasnt dumb enough to call his own number from deep in his own territory, but he had a couple of line drive punts that nearly took a few of the lineman's heads off. Were those on purpose?

Re: Proud of our fans
All in all, it was a good time. A few of the people I sat near were douches, but you'll find that everywhere. Question about the attendance numbers, though. If the stadium holds 32,000+, and the game was sold out, why was the announced crowd only ~31,000? I realize the last couple of rows on the eas...

Great pics.
So were you sitting in the UT section? If I'd known, I would have traded with you...even if I would have had to move to the upper deck.

Parking was a breeze. The inept cops directing traffic after the game, however, not so much.

Re: Which opponent has the worst fans?
I was in Boulder for the UT game last year and the CU fans were all great. The only problem was the student section during the game. Yellow t-shirts were passed out to all the students and the kept throwing them on the field during the 1st half. It looked like there was a penalty every play.

Re: Hey Pokes! Thoughts on parking???
Your best bet is to park on the street and probably walk several blocks, it will give you a chance to appreciate the altitude. ;) I'm not worried about the altitude. I live in Montana now at 2400 ft elevation. ;) Additional free parking will be available north of the Laramie softball complex off 22...

Are these the parking areas? Any others? And I'm assuming #2 is for the season ticket holders and boosters, right?

Re: Texas Fans - Game Day Weather
It wouldnt surprise me to see some scattered rain come Saturday (I'm a weatherman, too). Earlier in the week it looked like Laramie would be clear and dry, but the latest model runs show a large cut-off low regressing into Wyoming and southern Montana by Saturday. The Cheyenne NWS office forecast ha...

I'm bringing my 18 yr old son to the game with me. Any place other than the typical Applebee's-type establishment for us?
