Re: Conference musical chairs
Confirmed, Pac2 is now a G5 conference beginning in August. They have no leverage now. They and MW just need to merge and let’s move on. Unlimited transfer rule is also approved. That sucks. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ncaa-officially-authorizes-unlimited-transfer-rule-removes-pac-12-fro...

Re: Revisiting covid Nazi wrongs
Not at all... where in my post did I say anything resembling that assertion? So you agree a doctor should be able to prescribe ivermectin and the fda and pharmacists should stay out of it? That's contrary to the covid nazism Yes, it is within a doctor's right to prescribe medications if indicated, ...

Re: Revisiting covid Nazi wrongs
Medical decisions should be between a doctor and a patient. This case had nothing to do with that, the FDA was the body being sued. Not because they banned the use of ivermectin, just for discouraging it. If by beat them, you mean the FDA decided to settle instead of dragging the case out longer, t...

Re: How to End NIL?
The way NIL currently exists, collectives are private entities. They are not run or funded by schools. This means Title IX does not apply as private organizations don't fall under that umbrella. However, with the recent court rulings that are moving everything closer to schools paying athletes direc...

Re: I'm pround to not be a Nike school anymore
I'm not a fan of Kaepernick or his other issues as mentioned by ItSucksToBeACSURam, but this issue is about more than him, and the underlying problems behind this mess need to be addressed, not ignored. What do you think of the coaching hire(s) process at UW? Acceptable or are we "ignoring an ...

Re: NIL what does it take?
When Chip Kelly took the OC job at OSU, there were many people wondering why the "step down". Among many of the theories were that Kelly could see the writing on the wall with UCLA moving to the Big Ten. Multiple sources were stating that there are several Big Ten schools with NIL war ches...

OK, OK, I'll do it - you don't have to beg. I have 4 years of eligibility left on my 48-year-old carcass and would suffer through the college life again if that is what the people need. Now, about the whole 45 yards thing... I punted in Jr. High (was also a D-end, and an O-lineman. My record is 27 ...

Tim Zaleski. The rumored circumstances to what ended his playing career and how he was treated by a former teammate were pretty awful. Ah, yes. The auto parts King. It's too bad his own teammates ridiculed him, but he wasn't very good. Ridiculed? Ha, no. When your career gets ended because a teamma...

Re: Toledo game thread
That's what happens when you have an entire team that doesn't care at all about the game you're playing. Yeah, because GA was playing for so much more. They didn't get robbed of a final 4 spot. UGA knew they weren't in. I bet the second FSU got snubbed, majority of their team checked out.

Maybe, but Polasek is a Grade A asshole. I wouldn't be surprised if there are several players happy to see him go.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 12:40 pm With Polasek leaving, I’m expecting we see a few more portal entries.

Re: Bowl Game
How would that work? I saw where James Madison and Jackson St would likely go bowling because so many teams weren’t eligible. The winner of the Dec. 9 Army/Navy game is automatically eligible at 6-6. It makes sense that the winner would go to the December 27 Military Bowl. From what I've read, Amy ...

Remember too that sometimes when these players enter the portal, they aren't necessarily choosing to leave, sometimes the coaches are making the choice for them. Not saying that is what is happening in this situation but I wouldn't be shocked, it wouldn't be the first time.
