Re: Stutz is gone.
We have some bigger problems than Stutz leaving the program folks. I talked to several friends who attended the first spring practice yesterday and they all said things didn't look very good, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Sound familiar? I heard there were a lot of dropped passes an...

Re: How devin moore stacks up
Even if that's the case...the fumble still hurt his stock, especially when you look at his stats and he does appear to put the ball on the ground a bit too often. Should he been at the combine, yes, did getting hosed on a invite hurt his salary for next year, probably. But he is still going to get h...

Re: How devin moore stacks up
I think fumbling at the Texas v. the Nation game hurt him in not getting invited to the combine as well. He should get drafted in the late rounds, D-Mo will get his chance but he will have to prove himself as a return man and special teams player.

Re: UW President Buchanan Going to Battle for MWC
Glad to see the MWC actually standing up for itself, but nothing is going to change unless pressure from the media, congress, etc becomes great enough to start impacting the dollars that the BCS draws for its elite little group.

Re: Starting RB?
That can go either way. I agree that a typical NFL style back becomes less of a factor in DC's spread offense (assuming its run similar to how they were doing things at Missouri) however last season Missouri still averaged 153 rushing yards per game, with Derrick Washington averaging 75 yards per ga...

Re: Wyoming vs. Weber State
Last year's team, talent and ability wise was better than the 4-8 record. Don't get me wrong we weren't close to the top 3 in the MWC, but at worst that team should have been 6-6. Eliminate the turnovers, especially those that resulted in immediate points for the opposition and the season has an ent...

Re: Football: Good News if you hate New Balance..
There is no stripe all the way down the jersey right now...it was just that stupid underarm swoosh and then the block stripe with the angle on the pants. Personally I don't have a problem with the throw-back look, but I like the newer style that ties the jersey and pants together...even if it were a...

Re: Football: Good News if you hate New Balance..
I'd be ok with that, but my preference would be a mainly brown top, white pants and then a matching gameday gold stripe acented in brown like the style the broncos have on the jersey shown here, that starts at the underarm and goes to the bottom of the pants. http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images...

Re: Official...Breske to NDSU as DC/DB coach.
Good luck to him. It's truly amazing how far a coach can fall by being associated with a losing era at a program. Let's face it how many D1 Defensive Coordinator / Asst head coaches would end up as a DB coach at a lower lever for the next job. Good luck to him none the less, I would expect him to mo...

Re: Recruit list for Christensen's 1st year at UW
There was something that was a bit of interest yesterday, CSU only signed 1 kid from Colorado. They were heavy in Texas, California, even Florida. Not sure if they know WTF they are doing, but interesting none the less. While no one would argue there are more quality D1 players coming out of Califo...

Dead board today?
Wow - I assumed this board would have a little more life today with it being signing day and all. Hope that doesn't speak to the quality of the recruiting class.

Re: Recruiting Class Thus Far
UW "lost" two that were going to be "surprises" somewhat, no verbal anywhere, but were both VERY high on UW until the Big 2 (or 3) came swooping in. We still have a decent class, just not where it was heading one or two weeks ago. I don't think you can call it "lost" o...

Re: MWC seeking inclusion to BCS
Nothing is going to change...but at least the conference is pushing while we have a tiny bit of leverage. If we could send someone to a BCS game again next year and show a continuing trend then we might start to get a little respect, but there really isn't any reason for the BCS to want to add the M...

Re: Recruiting Class Thus Far
...A few more wins next year (with the harder schedule) and a better opportunity to contribute early could bring in classes similar to the big 3. Missouri has been finishing around #25, so I know DC will emphasize recruiting if he is following a blue print from Mizzou. Agreed, especially given the ...

Re: 3 MWC teams in the final top 25
I think it depends a lot on building a foundation...lets face it Utah wasn't a big time program in the 80's...In fact BYU and Wyoming were two of the better programs in the mid 80's- mid 90's. Utah is now on top because Meyer (whom I still hate with a passion) established a system that works, which ...

Re: Expectations for 2009
Damn that statement of how "hard it is to recruit" pisses me off. Bob Devaney, Lloyd Eaton, Fritz Shurmer, Fred Akers, Pat Dye, Bill Lewis, Al Kincaid, Joe Tiller, Paul Roach, Dana Dimel, and even Vic Koening never made such a rediculous effed up statement...and not all of them were winne...

Jerry Montgemery was hired from Northern Iowa. Seems like a pretty good hire What conference is Northern Iowa in again...er...what division? As I stated before...I am not impressed with the staff that has been compiled so far, with the exception of English course. And maybe Hammershmidt (former CSU...

Re: Devin Moore
I think it may come down to how he does at the combine (assuming he gets an invite and should). If he runs well there he would be a late round pick otherwise probably an undrafted free agent, but someone will at least give him a shot to make the team as a special teams player.

Re: Expectations for 2009
I really think it comes down to how well Christensen can teach the players the new offensive scheme, and in turn how well they can run it. However anything less than 6-6 would be a bit of a dissapointment to me. We should have been at least 6-6 this year, but since we ran a ball control offense that...
