Mississippi Valley State

Tonight's opponent has played two games this year. They lost to the University of Arkansas 142-62 (80 points, woah). They lost to the University of North Texas 116-62 Obviously defense is not one of their strong suits. Perhaps the Pokes can light them up from 3. Game starts at 2:00PM MST. Most books...

With Joe in, gas will go to $4 to $5 a gallon, making it expensive to get to Poke games (unless you own a Tesla)

Re: When the college football season starts

A lot of this is driven by fear, which is what I have such a difficult time understanding. I've never been afraid of cops. Every single one I've interacted with here in Longmont has been awesome... but that's not everybody's experience, and that's maybe why I should just shut the hell up and listen...

I understand and agree. I grew up in the late 70's where the Carter administration lowered the national speed limit to 55mph.
Nixon, not Carter, signed the 55mph speed limit into law 1/2/1974.

Re: Any predictions on the season happening?

99.4% survivor rate. The pandemic is a joke. But you’re all right, there won’t be a season because the moment half a team “tests positive” the pandemic porn promoters will scare administrators into cancelling the season This pandemic has killed roughly the population of Wyoming. That's a joke to yo...

Here's a link to a video taken by a fluid dynamicist and mechanical engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). If you scroll down a bit you'll see the video. It shows what wearing a mask can do. Pretty amazing stuff. https://www.nist.gov/blogs/taking-measure/my-stay-home-...

I, uh, think we're going to run the ball this year. lol! If the O line stays healthy, I think it is possible a new single season rushing record could be established by Valladay. In 2016 Brian Hill ran for 1860 yards. I think Valladay could break the 2,000 yard mark this year. Gonna be fun to watch.

Re: COVID-19 - v2

The states hit hard early on are recovering, meanwhile the Bible Belt and other places are now getting nailed by it. Dumb question, but is Florida considered Bible Belt? Either way, they're up an insane amount in new cases the past couple of weeks. My wife and I are at our home in Florida, and I ca...

Not sure if Linder has offered, but someone to keep an eye on:

Re: MWC Impact With 23 Cal State U. Campuses Not Reopening in the Fall?

This whole fiasco hinging on testing is a failed experiment before it even starts. The few studies out there state that they think the PCR tests (accurate to 100% under ideal conditions) only have a 66% to 80% sensitivity in the real world. That means that 1 in 3 people who receive a negative test r...

Man oh man, I am so stoked to see this team on the floor. Give this program a year or two and the AA should be once again packed to the rafters. This is the beginning of the resurrection of Wyoming basketball.

Re: COVID-19

I have a personal story about COVID-19. My daughter fell ill about 4 days ago. She is 41, and in good health. She developed a fever, tightness in her chest, cough, and some other issues. She lives in Colorado. She called the ER and they said to come in. They asked her some ridiculous questions (over...

Great day to be a Cowboy :thumb: +1 I sincerely hope for a time in the near future when the AA is packed, the Pokes are riding high, and men's basketball is something we all look forward to. Re: Greg Milton & Tyler Morman

The timing is interesting, given that Linder has now had time to speak with all the players individually. Either coach doesn't see them as a fit, or they didn't like what he had to say. Both are fine with me. Yep, I agree. If they don't want to be here, then a transfer is definitely a good move for...
