The Pokes will be looking to repeat as Mountain Division Champions and get back to the Mountain West Title game after a successful 2016 season. The schedule features 12 games with seven at home and five on the road. Four of those home games take place in September as the Cowboys will host four consecutive games at War Memorial Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the dates Wyoming fans should circle on their calendar:<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>September 2nd @ Iowa<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The Cowboys open the 2017 season in Iowa City versus the Hawkeyes\u00a0of the Big 10. Iowa is coming off an 8-5 record and a loss to Florida in the Outback Bowl. This will be Wyoming&#8217;s third meeting against Iowa and the Cowboys have a 0-2 record with losses coming in 1987 (Holiday Bowl) and 1953 (a loss in Iowa City).<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">September 9th Gardner-Webb<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>FCS outfit Gardner-Webb comes to Laramie for the home opener. The Bulldogs went 5-6 last season in the Big South and this will be the first meeting between the schools.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>September 16th Oregon<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Wyoming will host the Oregon Ducks and new head coach Willie Taggart. The Ducks are coming off a very poor 4-8 season and this could be a winnable home game for the Cowboys. These will be the second football game between the two schools with Wyoming dropping a game 48-14 in Eugene during the 2014 season.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>November 4th Colorado State<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The Gem City will host the 109th edition of the Border War in early November.
