Coach Craig Bohl has kicked off his 2017 Wyoming football recruiting class with a verbal from a Wyoming native in Torrington’s Logan Harris. \u00a0The 6’3″, 283-pound lineman could play on either side of the ball, offensive guard or defensive tackle.<\/p>\n

Harris picked the Cowboys over offers from\u00a0Rocky Mountain College and Carroll College. \u00a0Outside of attending the Wyoming camp this past weekend, he also visited\u00a0Montana State and Rocky Mountain.<\/p>\n

He had also visited the Laramie campus back in March for Wyoming’s Junior Day. \u00a0At that point he knew he wanted to become a Cowboy if offered.<\/p>\n

For a career, Harris has accumulated 106 career tackles, 18.5 for a loss, 5 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, 4 sacks and 1 pass break-up. \u00a0Defensively this past season, he recorded 50 tackles and 15 tackles for loss.<\/p>\n

Last year he was named the Casper Star-Tribune\u2019s Super 25<\/em>.<\/b>\u00a0 He was also the Conference Defensive Player of The Year for 2015 and is two-time All-State selection.<\/p>\n

This past track season, Harris competed at the Wyoming State High School Track and Field Championships, finishing first in the shot put (55-2 1\/2) and second in the discus (144-5). \u00a0\u00a0He also won the indoor state shot put title last winter (58-3 1\/4).<\/p>\n

When it comes to the weight room, Harris has a self reported\u00a0455-pound squat and a 355-pound bench press.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Skyler Miller who is a incoming walk-on for the Cowboys from Torrington.<\/p>\n
