Wyoming Athletics announced today the national television packages for Cowboy football this coming season. These games are ones that will be played on ESPN or their family of networks or CBS Sports Network. There are currently eight games set to be televised nationally. The remaining four games could be picked up by Root Sports, or in the case of the Nebraska game, Big Ten Network.<\/p>\n
The Cowboys will play four games on ESPN networks including at Colorado State, at Nevada, Utah State, and at New Mexico.<\/p>\n
The home opener will be played on CBS Sports Network and will be an 8:30pm kickoff from Laramie.<\/p>\n
The Cowboys will also play at Eastern Michigan, Boise State, and San Diego State on CBS Sports Network. Eastern Michigan will be a 5:30pm kickoff, Boise State a 5:00pm kickoff, and San Diego State a 1:30pm kickoff. The ESPN games have not announced starting times or specific networks yet.<\/p>\n
The Mountain West as a whole will play 45 games on national TV, 35 of those being on Saturday.<\/p>\n
As part of the Mountain West TV deal with ESPN any game played in prime time on Friday or Saturday if the game is broadcast on ESPN or ESPN2 will result in a significant payday for the two schools who are playing.<\/p>\n
