Wyoming Cowboy running back Brian Hill was added to the Doak Walker Award watch list today. The award is presented to the nation’s top running back. He is the second Cowboy to make an appearance on this list this season, Shaun Wick was added to this watch list in the preseason. Hill has rushed for more than 1000 yards this season, despite the Cowboys struggles on offense, and 1-7 record heading into Friday night’s game vs Utah State.<\/p>\n

Hill, a native of Belleview, IL is the fastest Cowboy to reach 1000 yards. He is on pace currently to break Ryan Christofferson’s record of 1455 yards set back in 1994. Hill ranks fourth in the country in rushing yards, ninth in rushing yards per game 18th in total yards per game, and 40th in yards per carry.<\/p>\n

The award will be presented on December 10 during the Home Depot College Football Awards show. The award is named after former SMU running back Doak Walker.<\/p>\n
