Bit of a set back last week but we will caution you it is still early days. Sports betting should be viewed as a long-term proposition and minor setbacks will occur. Wisconsin did not dominate Western Kentucky as much as expected on the ground. Then Arizona laid an egg at home to BYU of all schools, so we lost the first part of our double bet although Cal did win against North Carolina. The good news is the challenge bet lives on so we will be back in profit soon, there is no doubt about that. We have learned a lot in the first full weekend of college football and that will do us well for this weekend and the weeks to come.

Looking at the games this week there is still quite a bit that is unknown but there are two games that should put us back into profit. We looked at some Mountain West games mainly UNLV and Boise State but there were some questions if they would cover their respective spreads. Now on to this week’s bets.
Hawkeye Repeat
Iowa was leg one of our $10 to $100 challenge bet last week and this week they take on in-state rival Iowa State. The Cyclones had their game postponed due to weather so this will be their first game of the season as they travel to Iowa City. This sets up well for the Hawkeyes considering they have won the last three games of this match-up. The line for this game is Iowa -4 but it could be close as it is a rivalry game, so we will take Iowa with the money line.

$10 to $100 Challenge Leg 2
The $10 to $100 challenge pot is up to $12.44 with the Iowa win over Northern Illinois. This week’s bet will be a battle versus cats and dogs as the Mississippi State Bulldogs travel to Kansas State to take on the Wildcats. Last week, Mississippi State won a laugher against Stephen F. Austin with their backup QB while K-State needed two 4th quarter TD’s to beat South Dakota State at home. Miss State will have their starting QB back and SEC speed and talent should come through here.
