The Wyoming Cowboys have struck another recruiting success, receiving a verbal commitment from Oxnard, California cornerback Miles Williams. The California prep product is the 6th verbal commitment head coach Craig Bohl and his staff has received since the end of the football regular season.
Miles Williams 6-1, 170-pounds played his high school football for the Pacifica Tritons and during his senior season he had 43 receptions for 676 yards and 8 TDs as a wide receiver and 27 total tackles, 1 interception, 6 passes defended and 1 forced fumble as a cornerback.
Recruited by Wyoming’s cornerback coach John Richardson, Williams will play cornerback for the Pokes. When asked what does he like most about playing cornerback Williams responded, “To be honest I don’t know what like most about the position, I just have a passion for it.”
Williams chose to commit to Wyoming because, “I really like how the program centers itself around the idea of development, also I have developed a good relationship with Coach Bohl and Coach Richardson.”
Williams was also recruited by Mountain West rivals of the Cowboys including Colorado State, San Jose State, New Mexico, San Diego State and Boise State.
Currently, Miles Williams is rated as a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports and a 2-star prospect by Rivals.
