Today the University of Wyoming and head coach Craig Bohl announced the 2017 Wyoming spring football schedule. The Cowboys will hold the first of their 15 allotted spring practices on Tuesday, March 21st and will wrap up spring drills on Saturday, April 22nd with the annual Spring Game. One of the highlights this spring will be Saturday, April 8th when the Pokes will head north for a practice in Casper at Cheney Alumni Field at Natrona High School. Both the Spring Game and the practice in Casper will be open to the public.
Wyoming returns 15 starters and 51 letter winners for spring ball but there is plenty of change as well. Wyoming will feature two new defensive coaches in Defensive Coordinator Scottie Hazelton and safeties coach Jake Dickert who both coached under Bohl at North Dakota State University. The defense will be looking to make similar strides this offseason as the offense did last spring; where they improved from 115th in scoring offense (19 pts per game) in 2015 to 25th in scoring offense (35.9 points per game) in 2016.
