Wyoming continues their haul of new verbal commitments and no state has produced as many future Cowboys for the 2017 recruiting class than the state of Nebraska.  So far the staff has landed four from the Cornhusker state for this class.

The Pokes have landed two new verbals from offensive tackles, Chris Walker from Lincoln (NE) East and Rudy Stofer from Kearney (NE).  Walker is 6’6″ 270-pounds and Stofer is 6’6″, 255-pounds.

Walker was offered by the Cowboys back on May 12th and Stofer on March 22nd.  Both were recruited to Laramie by offensive line coach Scott Fuchs.  The duo visited Wyoming for the Air Force game along with Gretna (NE) offensive guard Patrick Arnold who committed to the Cowboys back on October 8th.

Walker picked Wyoming over offers from Illinois State, Ohio, South Dakota and South Dakota State.  Stofer chose the Cowboys over offers from Northern Iowa, Illinois State, South Dakota and South Dakota State.

Stofer had this to say why he chose the Cowboys over his other suitors.

“I just prayed a lot and the feel for Wyoming was there for sure.  I can’t wait to play Cowboy football with those others from Nebraska.” said the Kearney, Nebraska native.

Scout has rated both Walker and Stofer as 2-star prospects.  They have yet to be rated on Rivals and 247 Sports.
